(Nara's p.o.v.)
I was cold. It shattered any memory I had of warmth. I was curled up against a wall in a dark room, the floor was dingy and smelled of alcohol. Warm tears rolled down my cheeks quickly just to remind me how cold I felt. Nearly to the point of numbness. My injuries felt dulled in my pathetic state. I tried to stop the tears before he came back.
Crash!
I shivered knowing all too well what that meant for me. He was home now, probably drunken beyond belief. The door handle on the opposite side of the room began to shake violently. I further curled in on myself trying to become invisible. The door slammed open nearly breaking the wall and the door in the process. His towering figure stood threateningly in the doorway with sneer on his face. I cowered as he lumbered into the room in my direction. As he got closer I realized he was holding something in his hand jutting it out towards me. My eyes widened as I realized what it was. A knife. He grabbed my arm pulling me up effortlessly.
"Congratulations Nara! We've decided to get rid of you. But before that let's have some fun one last time." He said with a sadistic smile on his face his words drawn out. I stared at him unblinking as I was paralyzed with fear. He then pushed me to the ground my head hitting the concrete hard but not enough to knock me out. I struggled to get up wanting to be ready for his next attack. I wasn't though as he grabbed my head and pounded against the ground harshly. Tears were running down my face, my silver eyes blurry from my tears.
"Stop crying! Oh! I know I'll get rid of one of them eyes and then you might not cry as much! I'm sure the ladies at the orphanage would appreciate a child that doesn't cry." He laughed. At that I felt a terrible pain in my eye as he jabbed his knife right into it. He moved it around as if it was a scoop of ice cream not my eye. I screamed as he pulled away my eye from its socket. He stood up smiling down at my shaking form.
"Ahhh~ I'll miss this when your gone Nara." He walked over to the door shutting it as my eye bled.
