You feel a force on your shoulder that moves you body back and forth. You hesitantly open your eyes with a tired grunt, and turn your head to identify your awakener; Lafayette.
"Mon Cheri! You are finally awake." He smiles at you, which kind of brightens up your morning. "We let you sleep in a bit since our... ahem... experience, last night.". He blushed and looked away.
"Well merci, Lafayette." You thanked him.
He looked at you strangely. "You speak French?".
"Barely. Only just a few words and phrases, but I would love to learn!" You admitted.
"How about this? If you promise to help me perfect my English, I will gladly teach you to speak French." He suggested. He seemed very excited. You knew doing this would be a good chance to help him as well, for he often slipped back into his native tongue. So you obliged immediately. "Hooray! This will be fun, I swear it!".
"The winter ball is tonight! After our meeting with the Washington.". Hercules informed you. "I can't wait to meet all the ladies." He said in his most swav voice.
"Oh, great." You said sarcastically.
Hercules and Laurens raised an eyebrow. "It was just a joke." You lifted your head and looked at them.
"Oh, not that. It's just, I'll have to wear a dress again." You sighed. "I hate wearing dresses."
"You could always just wear your uniform, right?" Laurens asked.
Then Hamilton chimed in, "I'm not sure that would work, no one else is.".
You sighed. "Don't worry guys, I'll be fine. I'm a soldier... I think I can handle wearing a dress for one night.". "Besides, maybe all meet some cute guys myself?" You smirked.
"Oooooh." The guys all cooed, mocking you.
"Well at least I'm not as bad as you guys." You said. "Oh ladies, I gotta have every single one of em. But you know what, they'll all just come to me cause I'm a total chick magenta baby." You said in your deepest voice, mocking Hercules. Hercules just crossed him arms while everyone laughed at him.
"Anyways, do you know what the meetings even about?" You asked.
"Just a short little speech I'm sure. Telling us where to go when it's finally time." Hamilton said.

-At the Winter's Ball-

You were kind of embarrassed to be in a dress in public, even though that was the norm for women. But it was even more awkward because the guys had only just figured out you were a girl.
You walked through the doors and suddenly you were alone in a crowd. Honestly you felt very uneasy, and a bit stressed. You were never good in crowds and this was one of the most packed buildings you had ever been in in your life.
You saw an open patch in the crowd and you headed for that spot. But almost immediately upon you entering, it once again became flooded with people, and another area opened. This process went on for about three minutes, but it felt like hours to you. Until suddenly you bumped into someone. It was a man you had never met before. He looked at you with a straight face and then smirked.
"Hello ma'am. My name is Charles Lee." He grabbed your hand and kissed it gently.
You gave him an awkward smile. "(Y/N) (L/N)." You introduced yourself.
"What a lovely name. Well it's a pleasure to make the acquaintance of such a fine woman like yourself." You gave that same nervous smile as you cringed at his words. You realized he was still holding your hand and you pulled it away.
"I-I should be going." You went to walk away but he grabbed your arm.
"Can I at least have this dance?" Lee held your hand and put his other on your waist. You blushed. You felt very uncomfortable, and just wanted to leave, but you knew he wouldn't let you go that easily.
"I really shouldn't." You told him. But he was too persistent.
"Nonsense." He spun you around in a twirl. His eyes looking up and down your body. You didn't like the way he looked at you and let go of him. Since you let go mid-spin, you resulted in falling. "What's wrong with you? Do you not know how to dance?" He said. He looked a bit irritated at your apprehensiveness.
"I'm sorry, sir. But I told you more than once; I must go!" You said In a sharper tone. You were losing you temper with this man.
"How dare you raise your voice at me!" He grabbed your wrist tightly. But then you felt a hand on your shoulder, it was not Lee.
The hand pulled you back, out of Lee's grip. "Excusez-moi." It was Lafayette! "But she said she does not want to dance with you." He blocked Lee away from you.
"Fine." He scoffed and walked away, soon disappearing into the crowd.

"Merci Lafayette!" You thanked him. He turned around and smiled at you.
"Of course mon ami!" He smiled. "I'd stay away from Lee if I were you." You nodded. "I see you do not like dancing, eh?".
"Not with him at least." You laughed.
Lafayette's eyes seemed to glow a bit. He blushed, "Then would you be willing to dance with me?" He asked and extended his hand out to you. You nodded and put your hand in his. He pulled you close to him, rest his other hand on your waist.
You both swayed to the music. He even attempted to do a big dip. As you leaned back you looked up into his eyes. "Je pense que vous êtes très amoureux ce soir." He said smiling. You gave a confused face. "It means I think you look very lovely tonight."
You blushed as he pulled you back up, "Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself." You both smiled.
"I don't know why you don't enjoy wearing dresses, you look great in this one!" He stated.
"I just don't really think they're for me.thats why I don't really enjoy going to big parties like this. But that is nothing compared to the crowds. I felt like I was drowning in the people." You explained.
"Would you like to step outside?" He offered.
"If you wouldn't mind?" You said. He shook his head and lead you outside into the courtyard. "Thank you Lafayette. Its so calming out here.".

Suddenly the soothing sense was broken when Hercules, Alexander and John walked out together, laughing their asses off. "There you two are! C'mon! Alexander's got a fiancé!" Laurens shouted!"
(Just roll with it...plz)

You and Lafayette exchanged a glance and ran off with the other men to the pub.

-a few beers later-

Laurens began to sing, drunk. "I may not live to see our glory. But I've seen wonders great and small." He laughed. "But if the tomcat can get married, there's hope for our ass after all!"

Lafayette joined in, "Raise a glass to freedom!"
Then you all started "Something you will never see again."
"No matter what she tells you!" Hercules sang.
Then you and Lafayette started, "Let's have another round tonight!" He smiled at you.

Laurens sang, "Let's raise a glass to the five of us! The army will thrive with us!"
You sang, "We'll tell the story of tonight!"

"Lets have another round-" Laurens was interrupted by Hamilton, when Burr walked into sight.
"Well if it isn't Aaron Burr, sir. I didn't think that you would make it to be sure, Burr." Hamilton said.

"I came to say congratulations." He said.
Out of no where you shouted, "Spit a verse, Burr!"
"I see the whole gang is here." Burr sighed.
Lafayette spoke behind you. "You are the worst, Burr.".

Burr and Hamilton argued for a second about there jobs when Laurens spoke up. "Well I heard you got a special someone on the side, Burr. What you tryin' to hide, Burr?"

"I should go" Burr said.
"No these guys should go." Hamilton said. We all complained as he shooed us away.

You all just decided to go back to your place, and settle down for the night, since you obviously weren't wanted here.

Hey guys! Sorry for such a long chapter! Hope you enjoyed, plus you finally got some well spent time with Laffy Taffy (that's what I like to call him).
