Friends

So I have been looking at this tumblr page and they had some young Hera and Kanan art and I was like "I need to do something about this, so here's a short chapter of 14 year old Hera and Kanan, or Caleb in this case.

In this, Hera and Caleb are arrested after Caleb used the force to save Hera. Now they are in the hands of the Empire.

Hera and Caleb were literally thrown into their new cell. Caleb was the first up and looked around.
It was small and cramp and was dark, the only light being from the red glow on the wall's and floor.

Caleb looked and soon his sight landed on Hera. She was sitting down on the ground, knees tucked into her chest and had her head down.

"Hera are you okay?" Caleb asked her as he slowly walked over to her. When Hera noticed him, she glared at him. "Leave me alone" Hera warned him. Caleb was taken back and was confused. What was wrong? "What? Hera what's wrong?" Caleb asked her.

"You. That's what's wrong" Hera replied harshly. "What. What did I do" Caleb asked. Hera stood up and glared at the Jedi.

"Your the problem. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be stuck in here. If it wasn't for you, I would have been fine on my own. All you Jedi are is trouble for everyone. I wish I didn't help you. I wish I never even met you. I WISH YOU GOT KILLED ALONG SIDE YOUR KRIFFING STUPID MASTER SO YOU WOULDN'T BE A NUSONS TO EVERYONE YOU MET. I ABSOLUTELY HATE YOU" Hera yelled at him.

Once Hera realised what she said, she covered her mouth quickly. She looked at Caleb. He just stood there with his head down, staying silent, which scared Hera.

"Do..do you m..mean that" Caleb asked as he looked up at her with tears running down his face. "Do..do you really w..wish I was k..killed with my m..master" Caleb cried. Hera's heart broke. She really did it this time. She really hurt her friend now.

Hera tried to speak, but nothing came out. Caleb just sat next to the wall and cried, all those hurtfull memories came back to mind.

What Caleb didn't expect was for Hera to hug him. "No no no I..I didn't mean any of that. I didn't...I didn't mean to bring up all those horoble things. I'm sorry. I so so so sorry" Hera cried. She never ment to hurt her friend, not like this.

Hera was suprised when she felt Caleb hug her back. "It..it's Okay. I forgive you" Caleb told her. Hera was suprised by what he said. How could he forgive her so easily, after all those things she said.

And at that momont like as he read her mind, Caleb continued. "I forgive you because your my friend, and friend's are ment to forgive each other" Caleb told her as he hugged her a bit thighter.

Hera's eyes were filled with tears. Hera never had any friend's growing up in her home. She was always quiet lonely and had no one to hang out with. The fact that Galen still considered her a friend was a suprise.

Hera smiled at the thought that she has a friend who can look pass her mistakes and to forgive her. Hera just leaned into the hug and hugged back a little bit more.
