Part 4.5: Why I can't?

"Nikki! Bumangon ka na malelate ka na sa school!" My mother shouted from down stair.

"Opo, magreready na po ko!" I shouted in sleepy voice.

Why am I so tired even after I sleep? I want to sleep more, 5 mins more is enough.

I opened my eyes and saw the white ceiling of my room I didn't noticed I've nap for a bit. I look at my alarm clock and saw the time "shemay 8:10 na! Malelate na ko!"

I immediately prepare my uniform and take a bath, just a quick bath. I wore my uniform and get my bag and ran off my room when I take my first step on the stair my legs suddenly became numb.

Last night its hurts too much and now why it feels numb? I fell from the stairs and the last thing I saw before I fell asleep is my mother panicking.

When I open my eyes I saw white lights passing over and over, I feel dizzy my sight is blur, papa is running and panicking where is he taking me? I feel so tired I want to sleep again.

"Nikki? Nikki! NURSE! gising na anak ko! Nak kamusta ka na? Nandito lang si papa. NURSE!" why papa is panicking and looks worried, I just slept.

"Excuse me po sir" I saw a lady wearing a white dress. Why am I really tired? I want to sleep more.

I wake up again, ouch, why my head hurts. I need to get up I'm already late. Huh? This isn't my room, where am i?

"Gising ka na pala, wag ka muna umupo, kakalinis lang ng sugat mo" papa said.

"Ano po? Anong sugat?" I asked him

"Nalaglag ka sa hagdan kaning umaga, tumama ulo mo sa sahig kaya kaya sinugod ka namin sa ospital" he said

I remember now, my legs became numb when I'm going down the stairs.

"O libre mo, nang may libangan ka naman dito" papa gave me a book. I get it and read, trying not to be bored in here. Suddenly papa said "Nikki, diyan ka muna ah, kukunin lang namin ng mama mo yung mga gamit mo"

"Wait pa, kunin niyo na din po ung iba Kong libro please" he tapped my head twice and said "sige nak"

He went off the room and I was all alone, ouch, my head still hurts. I grope the patch on my forehead, I seems just little wound. Few mins later. Someone open the door and I saw my mother with kai, Heidi and Lowell. What are they doing here? How did they know? I lay down and cover my self with a bedding my wound get hurts, I became a little dizzy and I heard Lowell prattle, but I can't understand what his saying. I wonder what are they talking but but my wound really hurts I can't focus. My wound calm ah bit I heard kai's voice saying "Sorry po dun sa dalawa tita, ganyan lang po talaga yung dalawang yun laging nag aaway"

"Nikki si kai muna bahala sayo ah. Puntahan ko lang papa mo sa baba at bibili lang kami ng pagkain mo" as soon as i heard the door closes. I said "Kai?"

"Bakit Nikki?" He replied

"May magmamahal kaya sakin?" I asked I don't know why this thing come up to my mind. I just want to ask about it, I feel weird and awkward.

"Ha? Anong klaseng tanong yan?" He just answered with a question. It irritates me when he didn't answer me.

"Basta, Sagutin mo na lang ako." I removed the bedding from covering my head.

"Pano kasi kita sasagutin, di ka naman nangliligaw" he replied and laugh, what the F, did he think that I'm joking? I'm asking him properly.

"Bwiset ka, wag na nga, wag mo nang intindihin yung tanong ko" I cover myself again with the bedding. I felt really weird this day, I just need to space out before I become mad at him

I wondered why I feel this towards him, I can't say to him what I feel, there's something preventing me from saying that I love him.
