Part 3: The Date

I've arrive in the park but I'm very late. I try to find Nikki and after few minutes of wandering I saw Nikki sitting on a bench near a fountain.
"Nikki!" I've called her attention but she didn't look at me. I think she didn't hear me so I come near her and call her attention again "Nikki?"

"Huh....sa wakas dumating ka din." With a rugged looks she stand and facing me she crossed her arm below her chest and said "Alam mo ba 37 minutes ka nang late? Gusto mo jombagin kita?"

"Sorry na, maybinili kasi akong regalo para sayo kaya na late ako"

Nikki smiled with a glare in her eyes "talaga? Weeeeeeeeh.......Sige nga patingin ako"

While Holding a paper bag at my back I smiled said "anong sabi nila? *good things comes to those who wait*" she lour and crossed her arm again "daya mo" she turn around and walk with undershot "bala ka nga dyan" she walks away from me. Looks like she got upset. But she's cute when she's upset. I walk fast so I can catch up to her.

"Bibigay ko naman sayo toh diba? wag ka nang magalit" I was at her left side and she didn't even stop walking instead she poke me using her elbow and walked faster. I followed her and one thing interrupt her sulk, she stopped and turn around and walks towards me while holding her tummy.

While frowning she look at me in the eyes and she looks like a begging chseatsshe's holding my sleeve using her pointing finger and thumb and lightly waving it while saying "kai.........gutom na ku....kain na tayo".

So we went to a sea side restaurant and luckily there is still table on the balcony. I called the waiter's attention and I order our desired dishes, before we finish eating, a fireworks launched to the sky and we perfectly see the colorful lights from the blast of every fire cracker pops up the night sky.

I was amazed in what I see and while watching Nikki lay her hand above my hand and she smiled while Looking at me and said "masaya kong nakasama kita ulet" what does she mean again?? Maybe she's just referring about our bonding as a peer.

Monday morning I woke up and prepare for school. And as I walk down the street my phone suddenly ring. I pick it from my pocket and saw text message from an unknown number. I read the message.
*hi kai, good morning, salamat sa date natin nung sabado, nag enjoy ako*
Hey where did she get my number? I replied to her for me to know where did she get my phone number. *hi Nikki, good morning din, nag enjoy din naman ako nung sabado, saka nagustohan mo ba yung regalo ko sayo?* unfortunately she didn't reply.

I've arrive at the campus gate but I still not receive any message from her. Maybe she's already in the classroom, I need to hurry so I can still chitchat with her before the class starts.

I open the room door and I saw her sitting on her chair. "Nikki!" I've call her attention with a louder voice while waving my hand. "Kaaaaaai, salamat sa gift" her smile suddenly change and frown. "Oh anong problema? Hindi mo ba nagustohan regalo ko sayo?" She sat on my table desk placing her left elbow at my shoulder and said "kasi........wala akong regalo sayo eh"

"OK lang yun ano ka ba?" After saying that she suddenly stand up and turn around facing at me while smiling and said "ganito na lang, diba 1:30 labas natin mamaya? Date ulet tayo meet me at 3, dun sa campus gate 1, wag kang male-late ulet ah"

"Ah teka teka teka, anong date nanaman yan? Grabe kayo ah. Parang nung sabado lang lumabas kayo ah, kinakalimutan niyo na kami Ni Heidi ah, Tara Heidi labas din tayo" Lowell suddenly interrupted our conversation while placing his hands on Heidi's head.
Looks like Heidi was angry at him. She's staring at Lowell, staring angrily.

"Tanggalin mo nga yang kamay mo sa ulo ko pwede ba?" Heidi  said inclemently.

"Ayy sorry kala ko patungan eh" Lowell said with a teasing smile. Then suddenly "ugh...aaaah, grabe ka naman niloloko ka lang" Heidi kicks Lowell's balls. Lowell paused while doing an expression of biting his lower lips while his eyes closed.
