Ayano stared at him speechlessly. Had Budo discovered her secret? She began to panic, but she quickly came up with a response.
"Oh, I used that to cut up my lunch today. I've been meaning to return it to the Cooking Club. Thanks!" she said happily, taking the knife from Budo and dropping it into the tin of knives. Budo arched his eyebrows, but Ayano swiftly walked out of the room.
"Hey, wait! I wanted to speak to you," said Budo, catching up with her. Yandere-chan stopped and looked at him.
"Yes?" she said in an irritated tone. Budo was slightly taken aback, but he shook it off.
"Uh, us Martial Arts club members are going to Shishuta Town this weekend. Will you be there?" he asked. Ayano was just about to refuse, when she overheard Osana talking on the phone.
"Okay, I'll meet you in Shishuta Town this weekend, then. And don't be late, Taro!" she said.
"Yes, I'll be there, Budo," Yan-chan said cheerfully. Budo smiled. He was afraid that she would say she had other plans.
"See you there at 9:45am, then!" he said, and he sprinted down the hallway. Ayano walked to her locker to change her shoes. However, when she opened it, a pink piece of paper dropped out. Yandere-chan picked it up and read it.
'I want to talk to you about my feelings. Please meet me on the school rooftop at 5:50pm. I hope you'll be there,' Ayano read. She looked at the clock on the wall. It was already 5:48! She ran up the stairs as fast as she could. Had Taro put that note there!? She was about to find out! Ayano made it to the rooftop and walked over to the big fan. She was surprised to see a girl standing there. Sakyu Basu.
"I knew you would come," she said. Yan-chan was confused. Why did Sakyu want to meet her, out of all people?
"What is it?" asked Ayano curiously.
"Listen. I've noticed you hanging around near Budo. You'd better stay away from him...or else. Budo is mine. Don't forget that," said Sakyu angrily. Ayano laughed.
"Oh, I don't have feelings for him anyway," she said. But straight after she said that, she wasn't sure if it was true or not. "Well, we'll see. It's Valentines Day tomorrow, and many couples are going to Shishuta Town. He still hasn't asked me out yet, but I'll be going there anyway. And if I see you with him..." Sakyu gave her a glare that could have killed someone. Before Ayano could reply, the Basu sister had skipped down the stairs. Yandere-chan began to go over what Sakyu had said. Budo had asked her to go to Shishuta Town tomorrow, on Valentines Day...but the other members would be there too, right? Somehow, Ayano was hoping that they wouldn't. And...Osana was meeting up with Senpai...were they going on a date?
"Why don't I care that much?" Yan-chan said to herself. She took a deep breath. All would be cleared tomorrow.
