Second Thoughts (Ayano x Budo x Taro)

Chapter Six

"Oh, Budo! You're back!" said Yan-chan cheerfully.
"Mm," replied Budo. He seemed to be giving her the cold shoulder.
"Hey, what's up? Why are you so grumpy?" asked Yandere-chan. She was getting a bit annoyed at his attitude. Budo was about to answer when a high-pitched scream deafened them both.
"YOU!" yelled Sakyu Basu, stomping towards them. Her sister Inkyu Basu (who was holding hands with Sho Kunin) was just behind her.
'Sho? What is he doing here? I thought he signed up for a Martial Arts Camp...' thought Ayano.
"I can't believe it! YOU STOLE HIM FROM ME!!!" Sakyu bellowed. As Ayano and Sakyu argued, Budo thought hard.
"She doesn't love me anyway. I might as well just go off with Sakyu," he murmured to himself. Solemnly, he walked over to the two girls and linked arms with Sakyu, shocking her.
"Please don't shout, Sakyu. I much prefer your normal, sweet voice," he said soothingly, and he handed her the box of chocolates that he originally bought for Ayano.
"Oh! Thank you!" replied Sakyu, recovering from the shock. Soon enough, she gave him a sweet smile, accompanied by a kiss on the cheek, and the new couple walked down the street.
"Aww..." said Inkyu, but Sho was devastated. His ship had sunk! However, Ayano was the most upset. She'd never realized how much she liked Budo before. As tears rolled down her cheeks, she turned around and walked towards home. She didn't feel like murdering today, although the hatred for Sakyu burned inside her. Senpai loved her, and Budo had loved her, but she loved them both. And now one was gone. She had discovered a new emotion - Sadness.
When she got home, it was almost 2:00pm. She changed into some casual clothes and decided to read a book to cheer her up.
'Aiko sobbed and sobbed as Benkei walked away with Sumika. She loved Tomi, but she loved Benkei as well.'
"AARRGGHH!!! NOT EVEN A BOOK WANTS TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER!!!" she yelped, hurling the book across the room. After she calmed down, she just buried her face in her pillow and weeped until she fell asleep.
When she woke up, it was midnight. Sighing, Yan-chan wore her PJs and tried to hold back to sleep. She turned her fan on, scented her room with lavender and tried to relax, but whenever she closed her eyes, all she could picture was the event at Shishuta Town.Eventually she ended up staying awake all night.
"I am definitely not ready to go to school yet," she said to herself in the morning, so she called in sick. However, just when she was about to take a shower, there was a knock on the door.
