Chapter 6: Love Chitchat
RHIA'S POV
I composed myself and let out a big heave. "Now care to explain everything? And I mean everything." I asked Daphne giving her one of those we-seriously-need-to-talk look.
Andito kami ngayon sa isang kilalang coffee shop near our campus, naka-school uniform na kaming pareho. 9am start ng first class namin, quarter to 8 pa lang naman so we still do have more than an hour to talk. I'm really curious about what happened.
"Okay. Hindi ko na papahabain pa, ngayon pa lang sasabihin ko na sa'yo kung ano at sino ang dahilan." She stated in a serious tone. "Kilala mo naman siguro si Kyle diba?"
I scrunched up my face, trying to remember. "Kyle who?"
"Oh sorry. I'm talking about Kyle Jensen."
"O-okay, I remember now. Your ex-boyfriend. Soo.. anong tungkol kay Jensen? I-I thought you've already moved on?" I asked hesitantly.
Naging sila ni Jensen for almost 2 years but they broke up, 5 months ago. What's his reason? He needs some personal space daw, without even explaining why he needs it. And that's just it. Babaw ng rason diba?
Pero may nanliligaw kay Daph ngayon from other campus and I can sense that she's happy with him. I just hope that it won't end up like the others. I really hate it when guys leave her with no valid reason.
"Of course I already did! Wala akong nakikitang sapat na rason para makipagbalikan or magka-interes pa sa lalaking yun." She exclaimed while her brows were frowned.
"Okay okay, fine. I'm just asking tho." I said and took a sip from my Chai Crème Frappe. "Diba.. sya yung nakipag-break sa'yo without a decent reason?"
"Well guess what, I know the real reason now why he broke up with me.." She stated seriously. Tears were in her eyes but she tried to look brave as if it was nothing. This sounds serious.
"I investigated on this for a very long time and finally came up with an answer. But don't get me wrong, wala na akong kahit anong nararamdaman pa sa kaniya. Di ko lang kasi talaga maintindihan na bigla na lang siyang nakipaghiwalay. It's all so sudden. Just because he needs some space? After almost 2 freaking years na kami? That was actually the most stupid and lamest reason I've ever heard! Kaya na-trigger akong alamin kung ano talaga ang reason ng pakikipaghiwalay niya and I discovered that it was.." She paused for a moment and tears started to fall down her eyes before she could finish her sentence. "I-It was Sab." She continued in a low voice.
"Wha-what? Si Sab? Y-you mean Sabrina?" I shrieked and she just nodded. "B-but why would she do that? She's your bestfriend right?" I asked eagerly.
"Was.. my bestfriend. After what I've discovered I don't think na kinikilala ko pa sya as a friend, hindi ko na nga rin siya kinikilala bilang tao sa ginawa niya."
"Wait, I-I'm still confused." I really am. Wala kasi akong maisip na rason para gumawa ng isang bagay si Sab against Daph. Whenever may di pagkakasunduan sila Jensen and Daph, si Sab ang unang nagko-comfort sa kanya. Si Sab kasi ang mas nakakakilala kay Jensen since matagal tagal na din silang magkaibigan. Or di kaya.. pagpapanggap lang ni Sab lahat ng iyon?
