For a while now, Yuri has been missing Viktor. He hasn't been here for two days. He laid his head paitently on the sand waiting for his friend. But he was nowhere to be found. He decided to take in the scenery of the beautiful clear sky and the ocean which complimented it's crisp blue color. From afar, he saw a large fishing boat. He dismissed it and started to daydream a bit. Until he heard the sand crunch and crumple. Someone was near. A shadow loomed over the mermaid and when Yuri opened his eyes, it was Viktor. He was wearing rather strange clothing for such warm weather.
"Yuri." Viktor said, smiling at him. "Viktor! You're here! Where have you been, I missed you!" Yuri said with glee. Viktor's expression changed slightly, but he kept his smile. "I was packing my things. Yuri, I'm going back to Russia very soon." He said, sitting on the sand in his jeans. "Rush- Uh?" Yuri said confused. "It's my country, Yuri. I'm not from this area.." Viktor clarified. "Is that why you hardly visit every year?" Viktor nodded.
"I'm.. going to miss you. A lot. Are you coming back soon?" Yuri pouted. "Yes! Of course Yuri. And I'll bring all the pork cutlet bowls you can imagine." Viktor smiled. Yuri's face brightened up. Viktor's expression became blank and he stared into the ocean. He was like this for a few seconds. "Viktor?" Yuri's voice brought him back. "Are you okay?" Viktor gave a passionate grin and said "I'm fine. I was thinking about something."
"Viktor, you are coming back, okay? Promise me." Yuri said. He waved his hand, signaling Viktor to come closer. Viktor crouched down and Yuri wrapped his arms around him. His wet hair cooling Viktor's steaming shoulder. Yuri tried to make the attempt and give a small kiss on the cheek but didn't. He was too scared. Yuri let go of the embrace and waved goodbye. His expression looked rather sad but Yuri tried to hide his feelings. He finally submerged in the water.
