Chapter 9

After we were done shopping, Kouha decided to... can you guess what?

Take a guess.

Have a sleepover.

Oh, but not just any sleepover where you can sleep.

No. He threw a crazy drinking sleepover where we were forced to stay up until the sun started to rise. He tried to get me to drink but I wasn't in the mood.

Needless to say, I was tired. But the good thing is that I thought about my feelings. And the conclusion...

I was confused. I kept telling myself I didn't have feelings for him but there was SOMETHING when he was near me. Even when I think of him.

It was different from when I thought of Kouha or any of the others.

It was a similar feeling to HIM.

Back in eighth grade, I dated this guy, who shall not be named, and I really cared and trusted him.

He used that trust against me. He hurted me mentally constantly. He even used my trust to get me to do things for/with him. If it wasn't for Kouha and Hakuei, I think I would have stayed because I didn't understand my feelings clearly.

I can't make that mistake again.

I felt like I trusted Sinbad, though I kept telling myself that he's a player and he was only after me because I was a challenge.

After a little while of thinking some more, I finally came to a conclusion. "I like him..." I muttered.

"What?" a voice said beside me. I flinched and looked to find Sinbad.

"I thought everyone was asleep..."

"I was but my quick nap was enough for me," he said cheerfully. "Now what did you just say?"

"I thought everyone was asleep?" I said questionably.

"No, before that."

Thinking, I recall muttering the words I like him but I don't remember saying them very loud. "Nothing of importance."

"You're lying," he pouted. "You said you like him. Who is this 'him?'" he said, leaning closer to my face. I leaned away from him but almost fell over.

Sinbad held onto my shoulder so I didn't fall but it forced me to look him in the eyes. With a sigh, I finally said, "You."

Sinbad seemed to take a minute to process, but then pulled me into a hug. "Will you be my girlfriend then?"

"I don't know... I had been in a bad relationship a while ago so I don't want to jump into one."

"It's okay," he started, "we'll start with a few dates here and there."

"Okay," I said. I glanced at Kouen who also seemed to be up and he looked even madder than he did yesterday. "But just so you know, you do ANYTHING that hurts me or might hurt me, En will kick your ass or maybe worse."

"I'm okay with that because I won't hurt you."

"Okay. I'm tired so I'm going to go to sleep." I was about to stand up but Sinbad pulled me to him and layed down on the couch. "Sinbad..." I sighed.

"Let's cuddle for tonight~" he said, holding me tighter. I sighed in defeat and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning when I woke up, everyone was in the dining room eating. I sat up and looked down at Sinbad, soon falling off the couch while clutching my stomach in pained laughter. He woke up and looked at me.

"What are you laughing for?"

I just pointed at his face because I was unable to speak. He opened his phone's camera and his mouth dropped.

He face was drawn on with marker. There were words such as flirt and pictures such as a penis (I bet Judar drew that one). And boooooy was Sinbad mad. He went to wash his face as everyone else laughed at him.

I took my seat and ate my favorite breakfast. Pancakes.
