Y/N POV

We were in the kitchen sitting on the stools at the breakfast bar having an afternoon snack it a ice lolly it was humid so the snack fitted perfectly with the weather. "So what do you want to do today it's so nice out I was thinking a walk?..." Your friend Miranda suggests but your to focused at the sight in front of you. Her brother just out of the pool from the garden getting a drink to cool down.

"Y/N? Y/N?? Y/N!!!???" Miranda shouts to grab your attention you mumble back not even a word as you think you might start drooling at his bare chiselled body in those swim shorts. "Are you listening to me?" She asks making you stop staring and realise it's kind of creepy.

"Oh yeah U-uh sounds great." I reply "Yo Kai pass us a drink." Miranda says making him look in our direction and God I start feeling really hot it must be the heat. "Uh yeah sure what do you want? There's Cola, Lemonade, squash, or water." He looks in the fridge "I'll have a coke." Miranda answers

"What about you Y/N what would you like?" He asks with a small smile looking right at me making me melt 'I know what I would like but it's not in the fridge.' I smirk to myself at my inner thought just then. "U-uh just some water, please." I answer

"So, do you two want ice in your drinks?" We both nod so he gets the glasses and fills them with the ice dispenser and pours our drinks in handing them to us. "T-thanks..." I shyly reply "No problem, Y/N." He grins

"I'm just off to the bathroom." Miranda announces loudly and leaves leaving just us two alone...oh I'll have to make sure not to say anything cringe. "Hey mind if I join you I'm parched.." He laughs deeply and takes his drink and sits right next to me so close our bare legs touch slightly.

"So how's work going?" He asks referring to my job at the local cafe near school "Uhh good.." I answer choking on my words. "Good, so you getting on ok with your studies?" He asks why is it all school related maybe because your just his sisters friend and he's making small talk with you.

"U-umm good too I got an A for English." I smile proud with my grade "Ah lucky when I was your age I wasn't as school focused in the freshmen year." He chuckled deeply but I feel a pang of hurt I hope he doesn't just think I'm a swat I know how to have fun too.

"Yeah but I still go out and stuff to parties." I answer trying to impress him but why bother I know I'm out of his league. "Yeah was that the one last week? Miranda was fussing about what to wear." He laughs why is his laugh so angelic?

"Oh yeah it was.." I blush "You ok kiddo? You're quite red." Kai asks and feels my cheek making me blush even more "U-uh I think it's the heat, the weather you know.." I start getting flustered making those excuses up all at once as his hand is still on my cheek.

"Oh, right I'll open the door for a bit." He gets up and opens the door a small breeze hitting me making me calmer. "Thanks." I smile

Miranda is comes back and shoves her Kai off the seat playfully.. "Hey! You could've made me spill my drink all over my- self." As he realises his drink has went all over me instead.

"Oh shit I'm sorry Y/N I'll help you
clean up, Miranda get some spare clothes." He instructs and takes a hold of my hand guiding me out the kitchen and upstairs.

I get butterflies as his hand holds onto mine.

We reach the bathroom and he hands me a towel "Have a shower and wash your hair."

I furrow my brows "Look it's no bother I'll just shower at home." I insist but he shakes his head "Nonsense you can shower here and go back to what you were doing." He retorts making me surprised at his sudden outburst of anger.
