The funeral was a hard one.
Tears streamed down your hair. Sodden umbrellas held over you and the rest of the groups heads. Mitchell and Isabella wailed the entire time. You knew you should have tried to quiet them but the small children were showing how everyone felt.

Regan was a kind hearted soul. The one you could go to for anything. You turned to look at Mark, your best friend and husband. He smiled sadly at you, placing a kiss lightly on your forehead as he wrapped a single arm around your shoulder.

"Can you drive home?" You whispered.

Mark nodded and pressed his forehead to yours. You planted a small kiss on his nose and turned back to look as they lowered Regan's casket into the ground.

"Goodbye, Regan." The words brought you back to when you were all in 9th grade, when you used to go into choir for lunch. You both felt safe in there. But when you left, you either told Regan "I'll text you later." Or "I'll see you later." That trend continued for a while even after high school. But now, you'd have to say goodbye.

The teats started flowing down your cheeks as soon as you shaped her name with your lips. They mixed with the rain, the wind. Mark wrapped you tightly in his embrace, being careful of Mitchell who was being held in your arms.

Once the funeral was over, you approached Tyler, "You can come to us for anything and everything, Tyler." You told him quietly. Tyler nodded. "T-thank you, (Y/N)." You smiled, planting a sisterly kiss on his cheek, and joined Mark, who was heading to the car with Mitchell.
