A step closer to the person was a step closer to the reality.A reality of never ending helplessness,regret and guilt.One by one got inside the room with a sense of loss.
"Tae.. "
The person opened his eyes with full of hesistance and confusion.The words which flowed out of his mouth shook them to the core ,
"Don't call me Tae..it feels strange to hear my name shortened by people whom I don't know."
If they felt pain hearing the words would be an understatement, because those words sucked their souls out. It's those times you don't know what to do. Even if you want to cry out , you can't. What reason will they say for the tears when the person doesn't know them ? If he knew the tears were due to the guilt and the cause for guilt will only create the distance to be more .
Some aren't strong enough to handle the hurt. The slow opening and the closing of the door indicate it. Jimin and kook knew that they won't be able to hold back at the tears. So ,staying away till the tears dry up is what they can do.
If you don't have done anything wrong , you have nothing to fear of. That's why they knew Baekhyun was moving towards Tae without any hesitance. Unlike them , who has to walk each step with the worry of the guilt monster consuming them.
As Baek was finally in front of the line of Tae's vision , the atmosphere of the room has turned upside down . The room which was filled with guilt ,fear and darkness has changed into warmth and light . The worried face has turned into joy.
"Baekhyun hyung ..", With just two words he filled warmth in ones heart and darkness in the rest .
"Tae , do you remember me ?",baekhyun spoke . One could practically feel the love and tenderness in those words.
"Sort of ..your face and name ..And some happy moments . How I know you or what are you doing ?I just can't seem to remember that." ,he replied with sort of worry lacing in his words .
"He forgot the traumatic incidents of his life."
BTS could definitely understand the words clearly now. With Baek , Tae has memories which would make him want to fight for another day and with them ,the memories which only would make him give up without even trying to fight.
Standing there , they knew that not only them ,but Tae will also be hurt . They walked out of the room feeling more helpless.
Once the door closes, the facade falls
"Tae ..is this necessary?"
Tae was looking at the door with tears falling .
"Yes hyung ... If you don't want me to give upon life , then this is the only choice I have . " Baek looked at the younger who was broken beyond repair.
The heart may forgive the ones who hurted it but what if the broken pieces fails to stick back?Whatever love it had will seeps through the holes .
