John and I glanced at each other and chuckled quietly, then turned to our notebooks to start writing.

Alexander's POV

"Wait, so what actually happened to Angie?" Lafayette asked before filling his mouth with food.

"She just got a paper that said stuff like you can't act up and other things like extra credit may be needed. It was pretty pointless." John said, moving his fork around in a circle.

"He just does that to scare people. One of my friends told me." Hercules commented.

"He must be stuck in the high schooling days." John added then took a sip of his soda.

"You're still stuck in the high schooling days." I said flatly. I stood up and threw the rest of my lunch away. It's been about two weeks and I haven't died or killed anyone, but that doesn't mean I haven't threatened to kill anyone.

"I never heard a thank you from any of you for making food." Hercules said, and began cleaning up. What a dad.

"Thank you." John and I said slowly while Lafayette muttered some things in French. Hercules nodded and continued cleaning the small lunch mess. I went to go sit on one of their beds but my phone began ringing. Lafayette picked it up and looked at it, confusion washing over his face.

"Who's dickwad?" He asked, throwing the phone to me. Surprisingly, I caught it and groaned loudly. I answered the phone and immediately said "What?"

"I just wanted to see where you were at, Hamilton." Jefferson said through the phone.

"Guess." I said simply, as my three friends watched.

"I'm not a GPS. I just wanted to know because-"

"I'm not cleaning my room. I like the way it is. It's organized in my own way." I said, interrupting Jefferson.

"I wasn't going to ask you to clean your room, I'm not your dad."

I quickly thought about when I was ten and my dad left, but shook it out of my head.

"I'm with my friends. You know, the nimrods you won't let inside our place." I sat down and glanced at my friends again. Hercules sighed and went back to cleaning. Lafayette crossed his arms and glared at me, and John copied him.

"Oh, should've known." The line went quiet. It felt awkward, there was nothing but silence. I was silent, Jefferson was silent, John, Herc, and Laf were silently watching me. It stayed like that for at least thirty seconds, until I decided to break it.

"Well if you don't need me then I'll just get back-"

"I don't care if that Hercules and the French one come over." Jefferson said, interrupting me.

"What about John?" I asked, glancing up at the others. I could tell they each were growing more confused with every word.

"Just-I wanted to see where you were. Yeah, so bye, I guess." Jefferson through the phone.

"Wait! Why do you care where I am?"

"I don't, I just wanted to know. There's no specific reason."

"Yeah, whatever floats your boat."

"Just be back in time for dinner."

"Oh, sounds like we're married." I said back, obviously joking. I'm guessing Jefferson took it seriously since he hung up right after I said it.

Lafayette chuckled and sat down on his bed. Their dorm was definitely smaller than mine. Hercules leaned against the small counter, while John stayed in place, made a grumpy expression, crossing his arms, and stared at me the whole time.
