{Yuuri POV}

The day didn't start off to good for me, I woke up to a blaring alarm and people shouting. I turned the alarm off forcefully before slowly getting up. Once I was fully awake, I headed into the bathroom. I showered quickly and changed, then I reached out for my glasses that I had left on the counter, but my hand fell on something else. While I was still holding onto the other thing, I shoved my glasses on and looked at myself in the mirror. As soon as I realized I was crying, I let the object in my hand drop to the floor. "Not today, not yet," I said shakily while running out of the bathroom and falling on my bed. Just as soon as I laid down, my mom yelled for me to eat breakfast, but I ignored her and just left the house. I was running late so, I rushed to school.

Once I arrived, I slumped down in my seat in the back. The teacher took roll, but then, he introduced a new student into our class. His name was Victor and he was apparently Russian. Of course the only open seat in the room was by me, so I guess I now have a new seatmate. Amazing. He sat down with a goofy grin on his face, and started talking to me. I didn't hear a word that he was saying because I was thinking deeply about how to get him to shut the hell up. After a few minutes if me clearly ignoring him, he snapped his fingers in front of my face, and I turned to face him with a grimace.

"Hi I'm Victor and I'm 17!" How old are you?"

"16," I said glumly as I focused my gaze back at the floor below my desk.

"You must've skipped a grade, right?!"

I just nodded in reply and then thanked the heavens as the bell rang and homeroom was over.

{Victor POV}

After the encounter in homeroom with the quiet kid, the rest of the day seemed to pass by in a blur. In second period I made a new friend named Chris, he and I have plans to hang out over the weekend at the local ice rink in town. I walked home smiling, and was even happier that I didn't have homework on my first day.

When I arrived home I immediately walked up into my room and fell backwards onto the bed. Then, I heard the footsteps of my brother coming up the stairs. He entered my room with a weird, confused look on his face and asked if we could talk.

"Ummm... I think I met my soulmate today," he said unsurely.

"But you don't have any words on your wrist?"

"H-he's mute..."

"That's great Yura! Does he like you?"

"I don't know yet, I have his number though,"

"WELL TEXT HIM THEN! Wait, does he know yet?"

"No, but tomorrow he'll know for sure,"

"Can I help pick out your outfit?"

"Sure I guess... but I get to choose the color since you can't see it," Yuri teased.

"What does color look like?" I sadly said.

"It's the second most beautiful thing I've even seen," Yuri said happily.

"What's the first?" I innocently asked.

"Oh... um... well, Otabek," Yuri blushed.

"Is that his name?" I asked excitedly.

Yuri nodded in response before scampering across the hall to his room to bring back a few options for outfits. He came back with an arm-load of clothes. There were many different types of skirts and dresses that he had brought. Oh I forgot to mention, my little brother Yuri is actually bigender! So, he has a lot of dresses and skirts. We narrowed the choices down to three options:

Yuri picked the middle one out since he thought that red was "his color", and then he texted his soulmate (who was in his contacts as 'Beka', how cute!) and set up a time for them to meet tomorrow

All of this got me thinking about my soulmate, the words on my wrist always upset me, like how messed up is this kid? I just hope that I'd meet him soon.
