CHAPTER FOUR- AVRIL

I really hated free time, I never had anything to do, and then when it’s time for class, an idea pops up, and I try to keep it in my mind but by the time it’s lunch, I’ve forgotten it! Curse this short term memory of mine. On my way to class, Mr. Warks’, the Head Master, voice echoed through the hallways.

“The Oracle of Delphi has spoken, the Great Prophecy of this year has been said to come next month. By this Wednesday ALL students are required to be ready for the camping trip, also classes will end thirty minutes early, that is all,” almost instantly whispers filled the halls. It was only halfway through the year, if the Prophecy is said to be announced this early, it’s bound to be one filled with deaths and curiosity. According to Lexi, one of my classmates, last time the Prophecy was this early, only one out of the six returned, and that was Jason, the kid in my homeroom. I really felt bad for him, was all I can think of while Lexi rambled on about what others said happened to Jason which was definitely made up.  We both walked into History and she took her spot in the front and I sat next to Josh.

“I wonder whose gonna have to leave for the big trip.” I said trying to make conversation with him, he never seemed to be fond of me, and I wanted to change that. He shrugged and returned to his notes that I didn’t notice until now. Today we were going to learn about Cronus and Zeus, yippee! (Note the sarcasm.)I went through my schedule I would have today, school days ended around 3pm, now it would end about 12pm, right before Lunch.

“Thanks Rhea, Zeus was saved and was then able to save his siblings who lay in Cronus’ stomach.”

              RING

Man, this woman had perfect timing. We all left class and half of us went to Art, the other half went to gym, then after that I had Technique class, with Josh, McKenzie and her friend, what was it, Henry? I don’t care. Knowing it started with an H was good enough for me.

Art was fun, I loved drawing, and it enabled me to get out all of my anger when needed. Our teacher was Mr. Crooks, he couldn’t be any older than thirty, and this man was freaking awesome. All class he lets us draw/make what’s on our mind and if we truly tried and our drawing/painting/sculpture showed it, A+ right there.  What I hated was that I had this class with this hotshot that had all the girls swooning over him before class started, most of them not even in this class. His name was Iggy. This guy had skills, and today he painted a forest scene, with a full moon just at the top. There was a pathway heading straight down to this tree with a target on it, in the middle of the pathway there was a woman with an arrow at her side and the middle of the target there was an arrow sticking out. I thought it was amazing and so did the rest of the class. He explained that it was a scene in one of his dreams, where a woman approached him in the middle of a forest and showed him the ways of archery. There some skeptical looks given to Iggy, because he wasn’t Artemis’ kid, she had none and he was Aphrodite’s, why in the world would he have this kind of dream?  He explained that it wasn’t him in the dream, but was another person, whom he did not ever meet. I wonder…

************************************************

Soon enough after four other classes, it was eleven and all students were dismissed to get packed. I got to my room, and Lexi was already there. Oh yeah, Lexi was my roommate. She was dancing around the room to One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful, typical Lexi. She must’ve heard me come in ‘cause she pulled me towards her and grabbed both my hand and started dancing. She had an iron grip; I wasn’t getting out of this so I just joined her. We both fell to the floor cracking up. She helped me pack up and the next morning we were awoken by the annoying trumpet, it was like two in the morning. Outside, there had to be at least eight buses.
