CHAPTER ONE-Avril

I walked down the halls of Rosevielle Academy (rose-i-viel), a jail for demigods. Maybe I’m over exaggerating, it’s not a jail but it’s a place for demigods, so that they wouldn’t get into any trouble that would expose themselves to the plain humans. Yes, demigods, half human and half god. I, myself and five others were made to act and smell like a demigod. We were MADE by gods, but we weren’t in anyway, human. See, we were made to watch over the academy while the gods were away. This was kind of a first time thing, an experiment, you can say. If anything, I mean anything goes wrong, poof we are gone. We are forbidden to leave the walls of Rosevielle Academy. I didn’t get to meet the other five but I was given descriptions of their abilities and their appearances. I was originally supposed to start school yesterday, but Zeus let me stay in to get used to my new life. Yup, Zeus, I was made by the mighty Zeus.

Today is officially my first day here. Now, I stand in front of the dreading period called Homeroom, room 204, History. I take in a huge breath and open the door.

                        Josh

The door suddenly opened and a blonde girl walks in. She had blue eyes, she was pretty short, had long layered bright blonde hair, and by the looks of it, she had a short temper. I remember what Athena told me about the others and she looked like she was made by Zeus. I heavily exhale and return to my note taking, before I was so rudely interrupted by this blondie. Today’s notes are on the fight for Athens, between Athena and Poseidon. My strongest topic, I look up to see Ms.Rey pointing to the empty seat next to me. Now I have to sit next to her? Glorious. She seems like she’s dragging herself to the seat. Jeez, now that I’ve got a good look at her, she looked like she had just gotten out of a jungle of vines that tattered up her hair and there was shadows hanging out at the bottom of her eyes.

“Wadda lookin’ at?” (It can speak!) She says, now that I realize that I’ve been staring at her for the past five minutes.

“Nothing attractive, if you ask me,” I say in a matter-of-fact voice. She scowls and eruptively takes out a blinding bright yellow notebook and begins to scribble away.

We both had a silent race to see who finished first. Neither of us was quite acknowledged of this but it happened alright. We both finished at the same time and she scowls at me. I felt a pair of eyes staring at me, wait, starting right through me. I turn slowly, seeing a girl that I have never seen before. And I swear on the River of Styx, there were shadows hovering around her. We made eye contact and those gray, hollow eyes pierced my very soul. I quickly turned around and Blondie didn’t seem to notice anything. I began to stare into the blackboard.

              -RING-

Then in a flash a crowd of demigods struggle to get through the narrow doorway. It’s obviously impossible. A sigh escapes my mouth as I calmly put away my notebook. I spot Blondie in the crowd and chuckle to myself. Gosh, I never really got to know her name. Maybe I should call her… her, she or maybe even that girl.

“EVERYBODY SIT DOWN… NOW!”  I’m pretty sure Ms.Rey’s booming voice echoed down the hallway. Her face was… was as… as read as… an APPLE. Wow, I really suck at similes.

Everybody manages to drag themselves to their seats without cussing, absolutely unbelievable.

“Alright now, Raven, Jason, Alexis and Josh may leave. The rest stays until I give you permission to leave.”

“Um, Ms. Rey? It’s Lexi, not Alexis,” a red headed girl says while getting her backpack. Ms.Rey just rolls her eyes and looks back down at her papers. The girl in the back’s name was Raven. Cool, I’ll keep that in mind the next time she looks through my soul. I hike up my back pack, stick out my tongue at my buddy and leave without Ms.Rey knowing anything. I walk to gym, my absolute worst enemy. I was a pretty muscular guy; nobody would’ve guessed I hated gym. I manage to haul myself into the boy’s locker room and change into a green t-shirt and some gray basketball shorts. I walked out to the gym and a huge, I mean humongous crowd of girls crowded around something. Jason jogs over to me and gestures to the crowd.

“It’s the new kid, Iggy, I think it is. We can all guess whose son he is. Man, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“Hey man, I think you’re drooling.” I point to the corner of my mouth. He wipes his face. Seeing there was nothing; he punches me in my arm. Hey, I made a new friend! I decided to give the simile thing another try.

“It’s like a sleuth and ajar of honey. “ Gods, I was awful. Jason just stares at me.

“Keep saying things like that and see if any girls fall for you. And what the hell is a sleuth?”

“Well, a sleuth is a group of bears, my friend. “ I say in a matter-of-factly voice.

“Psh, like I knew that. Whoops, I gotta go. Peace,” and with that, Jason was off.   I find some of my class and stand, alone. The gym teachers come galloping to the center of the gym. Yup galloping, our gym teachers were centaurs and they’re pretty awesome. They manage to break up the group of girls and put everybody into pairs, regardless of class, age and height. But they did care about gender, it was boy, boy and girl, girl.  Guess who I was paired up with? Not Jason, nor anybody else, I was paired with Iggy, of all demigods, him. I should be thrilled to be paired with him, but I wasn’t like most guys, I, of all things, hated attention.

The boys took turns playing a one on one basket ball game; girls played a one on one soccer game and after awhile we switched. When it was our turn, all of the girls stopped their game to watch ours. I won; obviously, I mean I was like five inches taller than this guy. Girls comforted him and cooed him like he needed it, they told him that her was, and always will be the best. Blech. The only girl not swooning over him was that girl Raven and Iggy didn’t seem too happy about it, I think the girls noticed too and they got pissed. But I was pretty sure that Lexi was by far the angriest. I’m not going to lie, Lexi was hot, but something about Raven made her hotter. Then, something happened that left everybody’s mouth in a perfect O. Lexi grabbed Iggy’s shirt and kissed him, Iggy quickly pulled away and left. Raven just rolled her eyes and left too.

Super Duper short chapter, I know. I need to work on that. I'll be sure to make Chapter Two longer. ** When any of the charcters refer to Avril as a blondie, it doesnt mean shes really dumb, I would never do that, I mean, my MOM is blonde. So, yeah, do not take it personally. **
