Fake Smiles

I; a human, want to be shown and known as the greatest.
I'll remind you on a regular basis.
My beautiful appearance and exterior beauty; the only thing that counts.
So you'll never know of all the crippling feelings that amount.

While it may seem there is nothing wrong with me.
You'll never know of the fear and rejection that lives inside me.
I'll make sure that my emotions stay concealed.
You'll never really know how I feel.

It's a simple trick really.
Making me seem lively and loving freely.
It's something that you could see for miles.
It's my big, bright, beautiful, fake smile.

Many are not that perceptive
Nor are they attentive.
I know they won't be able to tell.
Behind this smile, I could raise hell.

You'll never know about my secrets.
You'll never know about my feelings; their deepness.
It may slip if I go senile.
It's not like you'll keep me on file.
I could fool the wild; make it worthwhile.
All because of my big, bright, beautiful, fake smile.
