I woke up to the sound of my alarm going of. Today my job as a cleaner started at the Central City Police Department. I stood up and opened one of my bags to grab some clothes out for today. Caitlin let me stay in a spare room she had in her apartment. It all looked very nice. I liked her style. The room I was staying in is still very empty. The walls are mint green, the floor is made out of light wood, and the only thing that was standing in the room was the bed I was currently sitting on. The ground was full of bags and clothes. Believe me, I'm all about keeping everything clean and ordered, but when it comes to keeping stuff in bags, that's just not possible for me to keep it all sorted where it should be. As soon as I had put on my clothes and had made myself ready for the day I walked downstairs. Caitlin had already left, like she told me so last night. She had to go to S.T.A.R. Labs very early. She didn't really tell why but it didn't really matter to me. I saw Caitlin left some breakfast on the kitchen table for me. She was so sweet! I was so happy to spend time with her again. It's been way to long and I only just realized how much I missed it. As soon as I finished breakfast I grabbed my handbag and left the apartment on my way to the CCPD. It was a walk of about 10 minutes but I actually really enjoyed every second of it. The smell of fresh baked bread from the bakery I walked by, to the fresh morning breeze blowing through the streets of Central City. I was happy to be here, and for the first time in a very long time I could see myself actually becoming happy somewhere. The streets were busy. Everyone was on their way to work. The sounds surrounding the city were a whole lot different then from where I came from. Instead of birds, all you heard were cars, and sirens in the far distance on their way to help people in need. And there it was. The CCPD. I walked inside, and into the elevator. When the doors of the elevator were about to close I heard some male jelling. "Hold it!" I put my feet between the doors so it would stay open. A young male with brown hair and gorgeous green eyes stepped inside the elevator. "Thank you!" He said with a quick smile. Man he was handsome! I awkwardly stood next to him while the elevator went upstairs. It was so hard not to look at him but I didn't want to make him think I was starring. I did notice him looking back at me a couple of times. Right before the doors of the elevator went open the silence finally got broken by him. "Do you work here? I haven't seen you around here before." He said with an awkward voice while turning his body a bit into my direction. "I'm new here." I replied. "Oh nice! What do you do?" He asked interested while the doors of the elevator opened. "Uhmm, I'm the cleaner." I awkwardly said, while stepping out of the elevator. It defiantly sounded like I was ashamed by it, which I to be honest actually really was. But it was the only job available right now. And I certainly needed one if I wanted to stay here. "Oh nice." He replied, but I'm pretty sure he also thought; 'what is she doing here as a cleaner?' I saw it on his face. "Yeah I know," I laughed. "But it's the only available job in the city right now, and I needed one." He smiled. "Oh so you're new in town! Well welcome, I'm Barry by the way." He replied while leaving a little smile on his face. Ugh his smile was so adorable. "I'm Naomi!" And I couldn't resist but looking into his gorgeous green eyes. "Barry!" A man said walking over to Barry. He was pretty long, dark skinned and had almost no hair on his head. "Can I talk to you for a sec?" He said while looking at Barry and me. "Of course Joe!"
"Bar, who's this?" He said while looking at me. "Uhmm this is Naomi. She's new here." Barry replied while looking at me with a smile. "I gotta go Naomi, maybe talk to you another time?" I nodded, and Barry left with the man who's name apparently was Joe. I walked over to the desk where a woman was seated. "Hi, I'm the new cleaner." I said when the woman noticed my appearance. "Oh hi! Wait a second, I'll finish this call and then I'll lead you to where you need to be alright?" I nodded my head and turned around to get another glimpse of the CCPD building.
The first day of working at CCPD went surprisingly fast. I didn't get to see a lot of the people working, and all that was going on since I was stuck in a room where they kept things on stock. I've been busy all day sorting and cleaning everything. I really hope that I get to hang around there where all the police is more thought. This way I'm never gonna find out more about the metahumans and perhaps that one person I'm looking for. That's why I accepted to work as a cleaner at CCPD in the first place. To get to know more about everything. I left the building to find out it was pouring rain outside. Dammit just what I needed. I had nothing on me that could protect me from the rain and keep me dry so I decided I just had to let it be the way it was and walked all the way through the rain to Caitlin's apartment leaving me soaking wet when I arrived. "Oh Naomi you poor thing!" Caitlin said, but I could hear a little laughter coming up in her voice. I don't blame her. I looked like a wet dog. The mascara was running down my face because I didn't put on waterproof and my hair was all messed up and in front of my face. "I'll be right back." I said kinda annoyed by the rain. "I'm gonna take a quick shower first." And with that said I walking into the direction of the bedroom and took of all the wet clothes. I jumped in the shower and washed of all the cold rain water.

After the shower Caitlin and I had a really nice diner together. I never realized Caitlin could actually cook so well. We ended up spending the rest of the evening watching tv together. After a couple of times zapping there came a newsflash on. It was about how the flash had saved a woman out of a building that was on fire. I was really fascinated by the flash. He was a metahuman as well, just like the thing that killed my father. Only he uses his powers to safe people. "Do people know who he actually is?" I asked and Caitlin looked at me like it was a weird question. "Pretty sure yes. Like the ones working with him." Caitlin answered. "How are you so sure there are people who help him?" Caitlin eyes looked shocked. Like she said something wrong. I thought it was weird but didn't really bother to think more of it. "Oh well, it just seems more logic to me." Caitlin replied. She looked concerned. "And when a scientist thinks it logic, it must be true, right?" I laughed. Caitlin laughed back.
