Extremis - Review

This episode has more twists than the game Twister, it is very confusing at first viewing but at second viewing it starts to make more sense, here's my review of the 6th episode of Series 10

We begin with seeing The Doctor at some execution place with some men in strange attire. Then out of nowhere, Missy appears. Now the thing that spoiled this was the fact that BBC are literally giving away key moments in these episodes, and the series overall. Like, have they forgotten how to be discreet?

What I wasn't expecting was for The Doctor to be the executioner of Missy, this is never really explained why he is trying to kill her, apperantly, it's some oath.

That was past tense, in the present, we see Doctor in the lecture hall with the shades from Series 9, except now they actually have a purpose instead of being a dumb gimmick. They help him with his blindness. Then The Pope comes in with the Veritas.

It's then revealed that The Doctor needs to read it, everyone else who has read it has committed suicide. So it wasn't looking good for Agile Gandalf.

After ruining Bill's date with a girl called Penny, The Doctor travels to The Vatican to read the Veritas. Except there's Undead Monks that are running a giant simulation that's connecting The Vatican, The Pentagon and a bunch of folk who want to kill themselves.

This entire episode references games, like GTA and Super Mario.

Overall, I loved it as much as I did Oxygen and it continues the blind arc well. We are about halfway through this epic series and I genuinely think it's the best. Seeing the Pope was funny, a lot of the twists surprised me. And we finally know who's in the box!

Final Verdict - 9.75/10

Next week is a continuation of this one, and it has pyramids! I went to Egypt once.

Bye!
