The Story of The Un-Vampires

I sigh softly as I sit at my new desk, it was my first day at my new school and probably my looks made a girl run away already. I didn't get any sleep last night because my little sister, Anji, was scared about being in a new house so she kept me up all night, resulting in dark circles under my eyes and a zombie-like look on my face. It wasn't such a big deal for her since she usually stays up all night just like my mom, my dad, and my big brother, I'm the only one who's really a day person and that means I have to sleep at night. I was used to waking up alone but this morning I was nearly late for school, and on my first day too, I didn't even get breakfast so I was starving.
"Ugh, how long until lunch?" I mumble to myself then remember I didn't bring a lunch, making me sigh.
My stomach growled loudly and a few people looked over at me but I was too tired to care, I was a little depressed because I already missed my old school with my old friends but I could never go back because my best friend found out my secret. Oh, you're probably wondering what that is, I come from a family of vampires but I'm not really like them. It's a bit hard to explain, you see I'm not really a vampire that sucks blood, I kind of make blood and if my blood level increases to the limit and I don't bite anyone, it all comes gushing out of my nose. It's really embarrassing but it's the burden I've learned to live with. I hear the bell ring for lunch and I sigh, laying my head on the desk.
"I'm so hungry, and I don't have any money right now to even buy enough groceries to make myself breakfast, lunch, and dinner," I complain to myself.
I look up and see two of my classmates looking at me, one of them was the girl I scared off earlier. I sigh and look away, holding my stomach as it growls. I groan then slip on my headphones that I always have around my neck and play a song, turning the volume down so I can hear when the bell rings but still hear my music. I jump when I feel a tap on my shoulder then I take off my headphones and look up, it was the dude with the creepy eyes but I didn't mind them much.
"Can I help you?" I ask.
"I just came over to see if you were alright, you look a bit down," he said, "I'm Kenta Usui by the way."
"I'm Lilith Akane and I'm just kinda tired, my little sister kept me up all night because she was scared of the new place," I rub the back of my head and try not to smile because that would reveal my fangs, "I also don't really have a lunch since I haven't had time to go shopping."
I suddenly feel my blood start to increase so I cover my mouth and nose then look around, it wasn't even close to that time yet, why is it increasing?!
"Hey, are you alright?" Usui asks.
I get up, "Sorry, I have to go!" I say then rush out of the classroom and just stand out in the hall, sighing in relief, "What was that about? Why did my blood increase?"
I groan then walk back to class and peek in, Usui was gone and so was the girl I scared earlier, I sighed in relief and took my seat again. Did Usui make my blood increase?
