I had calmed down by the time I got home, my big brother, Zen, was there waiting for me which I found odd.
"I'm home!" I call to the house then see my brother, "Big brother, you're home tonight."
"Because of you, you told Dad that your blood increased a couple times yesterday. Now I have to help my stupid little sister figure out her blood's affinity," Zen said.
"Hey, I'm not stupid!" I say and pout before sighing, "Let me change first, at least," I walk upstairs to my room and change out of my school clothes into my usual black tank top and black skinny jeans before running back down to Zen. "I'm ready, Big brother," I say with a smile.
"Stop being so cheery, it's annoying," he says then walks out into the night with me following.
"I will not, it's just how I am," I say as we walk into the city.
We pass by several different kinds of people but none of them made my blood increase until a woman ran by, she seemed to be running from something. I cover my nose and watch the girl run away while a guy chases her.
Zen looks at me then at the woman being chased, "Interesting," he says.
"Big brother...I can barely hold it in now," I say as I grab his sleeve.
"Tch," he yanks his sleeve out of my grasp, "Don't release it out here and don't get it on my jacket," he says then leads me somewhere else as my blood calms down.
I sigh and hug my arms, starting to get cold, "Big brother, it's getting really late, I have school in the morning."
Zen checks his watch then sighs, "Yeah, let's get you back home, damn it, no luck tonight and that means I'll have to do this again," he grumbles as we start heading home, "You're a lot more trouble than you're worth."
