Chapter Seven // "It was a reunion, not a date."
It's been a week that I haven't spoken to Kenma. I let my awkwardness mess up the relationship I had with him. I miss him so much, it hurts.
My stomach hurts, and my head.
My feet dragged behind me, as I walked towards the exit of my school. I felt both my arms being grabbed. I looked at my sides to see the twins looking at me with the same worried expression.
"Are you okay?" They asked simultaneously.
"Fine." I grumbled.
They both raised an eyebrow. "(Y/n). I've watched enough movies to know that when a girl answers 'fine' it actually means the opposite." Lacy said, placing her head on my shoulder.
"Yeah. We're not that dumb" Macy adds.
"You mean you're not that dumb." Lacy interjects.
I rolled my eyes at the girls, before taking my arms out of their grasps. "I'm sorry girls. I have to leave." I said, holding onto the straps of my school bag tightly. "Have a nice evening." I muttered dejectedly, walking off.

I walked through the doors of the volleyball gym. The room grew quiet as I strutted over to the bench. I placed my bag on the floor, before plopping down on the bench. I let out a long sigh, pressing my head against the wall behind me. I heard footsteps coming my way, Shoyo coming into view.
He sat down beside me, a ghost of a smile on his lips. "(Y/n).. you seem down. Are you okay??" Shoyo asked, his voice filled with concern.
I decided not to lie to him, I never do. I shake my head. "Not really..."
I watched as he wrapped his arms around my torso, and placed his chin on my shoulder. "What's wrong?"
I placed my hands on his shoulders, sighing. "I miss Kenma... I haven't spoken to him in a while." I mumbled sadly.
He pulled away from me, ruffling my hair. "Maybe try calling him? Meet up?" He suggested. I shrug. "It'll be awkward..." I mumble sadly.
What if it will always be awkward?
And we stop talking?
I felt my eyes start to water. I really like him, and cause I'm so stupid I might lose him..
"If he really likes you, he would agree to meet you. Even if it would be awkward." Shoyo said. I nervously shuffled, before pulling out my phone. "I might as well..." I mumbled.

(Y/n): Hi
Kenma: Hey.
I didn't even need to put my phone down, as he had already replied to me.
(Y/n): How's life?
Kenma: Boring.
Kenma: ....Without you.
I pulled my phone away from my face. Shoyo poked my cheek, smirking at me. "Your face is red~" he teased, poking you again. "I know." I grumbled, looking back at my phone.
