Chapter 6 - Reunited

Adam's POV

~Part 1~

~ I froze. My body feels numb and my heart pounds in my head. We're facing death.

"Where do you think your going?" She asks Jerome. Jerome doesn't answer. Mitch looks at me. I should have a plan by now, I'm the leader. Sky always knows what to do. Except I don't know what to do. I'm still a little kid and I still get scared.

"Answer me!" Louis screams and I snap out of my daze. Without thinking I raise my arm and fire the gun at her chest. I shoot another time and she fires her gun at me. The impact makes me fall to floor. Mitch fires his gun at Louis three times before helping me. I'm dying, I tell myself. Mitch and Jerome are right beside me.

"You're going to be okay, biggums. She shot you in your shoulder. It's going to fine." Mitch tells me through tears. He dials 9-1-1 and we wait. I strain my head to see Louis. She's laying on the ground.

"She's dead." Jerome whispers. Is he upset? A few minutes later, the police show up. I sigh in relief. Everything will be okay.

~Part 2~

Mitch's POV

Two Weeks Later...

~ "I'm glad your back, biggums." I say to Jerome.

"Me too." He rests his head on my shoulder. I remember when we arrived back at the Team Crafted house. Ty ordered pizza and Jerome finished a whole box. That night I slept in Jerome's room with him. I held him close and never let go.

"Jerome, I need to tell you something." I whisper.

"Yes, Mitch?" I take a deep breath.

"I love you." I look into his eyes. He wears a shocked expression that makes him look younger. Jerome smiles.

"I love you, too, Mitch." I smile and press my lips to his. He puts his arms around my neck. Then he pulls away to look at me. I laugh.

"My bacca is home!" We laugh together and watch the sunset over the Team Crafted house.
