Audrie and the Tesla

I got home that night after a day of talking and spending time with David feeling like it had all been a dream. I guess I had been feeling like that a lot.

"So how did I do?" He asked with a sheepish grin on his boyish features. I grinned and wrapped my arms around his neck and brought my lips up to his. I pulled back and looked into his brown eyes. "Today was amazing. It was beautiful, thank you." He grinned and kissed me once more. "I'll see you tomorrow, Audrie."
"I'll see you tomorrow, David." With that, he kissed my head and walked away. I walked inside the apartment and giggled to myself.

I was David Dobrik's girlfriend!

It sounded even more surreal in my head. Just admitting that to myself brought butterflies to my stomach. I walked into my room and threw myself on to my comfy bed.

"Back already?" I looked up and saw Liza sticking her head in the doorway. I giggled and nodded as she walked in. I patted the spot next to me so she could lie down as well. "We haven't talked in a long time, baby sister."
"That is true, big sis."

She laid down next to me and we stared at the ceiling in comforting silence. "Does he make you happy?" I turned my head and stared into my sister's big, brown eyes. "More than you know," I replied. "I didn't think anyone could make me feel the way he does." Liza smiled and looked back at the ceiling. "You're my baby sister, and all I want to do is look out for you. I know you're a big girl, but you're still young." I grabbed Liza's hand and smiled. "Thank you." "You're welcome."

The next morning, I woke up next to Liza who had nearly pushed me off the bed. She was small, but she was an active sleeper. I rolled off the bed and walked into Liza's room where I saw all her things packed up and blocking the entryway. "What the?" I hurried back to my room where Liza had just woken up.
"You're moving?" She looked up at me with a guilty expression drawn on her flawless features. "Yes, I'm moving. I left the apartment under your name so you can do as you please."
"You didn't think we should talk about this first?"
"When, Audrie? When would we have talked about this? You spend every waking moment with David and the guys. There's never time for me in your oh-so busy schedule. So, no, I don't think we should talk about this."
With that she stormed out of the room and out of the apartment.

I drove to the new address David had texted me and came upon this beautiful, enormous house. "Hey, babe." He helped me out of the car and kissed me. I stared dumbfounded at the house before me. "Do not tell me that this is your house." He chuckled. "That would be lying, and you know God hates liars." I playfully slapped his chest and covered my mouth with my hands. "This is so gorgeous, David, I'm in awe. You don't understand how much I love this house." David grinned and held my hand. "I had been planning on buying a house for the longest time." I smiled and hugged him.

We walked inside and he gave me the grand tour of his humble abode. "I have some extra bedrooms, so I made this little surprise for you during my extra time." He covered my eyes and led me to a doorway. "Okay. Keep your eyes closed until I tell you otherwise." I felt the loss of contact and kept my eyes squeezed closed.

A minute later, he pulled me inside the room and sat me down on something soft. "Open your eyes." I opened them to see the most beautiful bedroom setup I had ever seen in my life. There was a desk with a lamp by the door, a queen sized bed, a large walk-in closet, another smaller closet that had shelves in it, fairy lights all over the top parts of the walls, black walls, and doors that led outside to the backyard.

I gasped in amazement and felt my eyes well with tears. I pulled him in for a hug and thanked him. "David, this is absolutely amazing. Why did you do all this?" He pulled away and smoothed down my hair. "I did this because there are going to be times where you won't want to go home to your own apartment. I also painted the walls with chalk paint so you can doodle on the walls all you want." I smiled at my amazing boyfriend and kissed him. "It's beautiful. Thank you."
