-Maxwell P.O.V.-
(2 am)

I laid awake in my bed, the events of the past day clouding my mind. My glow-in-the-dark stars that my parents had put on the ceiling for me when I was five seemed to look down on me malevolently as I lay there. I thought of his dark eyes, the same color of the ink that flowed from fountain pens. My chest fluttered as I thought of his husky voice. I turned over in my bed as shame inked its way through my mind. I scolded myself for thinking this way when I had Charlie.  Although she and I haven't been talking in a long time. She was spending an awful lot of time with Table-kun. Tears pooled in my eyes as I thought that she might be cheating on me. Not Charlie-chan... Not her. I rolled over once more and tried to ease myself into peaceful slumber.

(8:20 am)
I woke with a start, remembering that school started in 10 minutes. I quickly got dressed with my uniform skirt and matching shirt. I ran out the house like the shadows themselves were chasing me. I managed to snag a piece of bread on the way, cause seriously, the toaster takes too long. I made my way into homeroom before the final bell rang. As I was catching my breath, I noticed Willow and Wendy chortling at my appearance. My hair was messed up and my skirt was offset. I trudged to my seat as my friend Woodie looked at me with concern in his eyes. " HeLLO WOODIE-SAMA, hOw are yPU TODAY DESU~ ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ" I said. He  nodded as he responded," I'm GOOD MAXWELL-KUN, EH?" I put my head down on the table and patiently waited for the bell to ring so I could see Charlie. She and I had History with Mr. Woodlegs. I wondered if he'd let us talk, the man is kinda insane. Once the bell rang, I booked it outta class to Mr.Woodlegs' to see if I could talk to her. I saw her in her desk and I approached her. " ChARLIE-CHAN, HOW COME WE HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO TALK lATELY??!!1!" She squirmed in her seat as she murmured," I do not wish to talk to you about this now...Come over my place at 5 and I'll tell you". I was about to question her further until Mr. Woodlegs barked at me to get into my seat. I trudged to my seat in dissapointment. This was going to be a very long day.

(4:50)

I made my way over to Charlie's place, surely she wouldn't mind me coming a bit early. As I approached her house, worry flooded through my system. Her front door was completely open to the public. Had something happened to her? I didn't bother with my shoes and I bolted up the steps in her home that lead to her room. As I tiptoed to her room, I heard murmuring voices and giggling. I was in disbelief. " It couldn't be ~desu" I thought as I slowly opened her door. What I saw was enough to freeze me in place, staring open mouthed at the situation before me. It was Charlie, curled up in the lap of Table-kun, as they were making out on her bed. My face turned bright red out of shame and betrayal. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I turned tail and ran. I didn't stop running, even as I heard Charlie's voice behind me. I kept running. Running away until I could no more. I ran so far and fast until I stopped for breath, and only then did I let my sadness in, sobs breaking their way through my heaving chest. I fell asleep shortly after, completely unknown of my whereabouts.
