Love over Fame? (Chapter 1)

Prologue:

My name: Jasmine. My best friend was Alexis. We've known each other since Kindergarten and we've been friends ever since. We live right next door to each other, so sleepovers weren't even called sleepovers, it was as if we were sisters. We would sit in my room, jump around on my bed while singing One Direciton songs. We loved One Direction. We watched them on X-FACTOR until now, we're amazed at how far they've come. 

I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing, i reached over with my left hand to turn it off.

"UGH" i moaned while i got up the bed. "Get ready honey you're gonna be late to school" my mom yelled across the hall. "WHY!? Ugh stupid, stupid,school" i mumbled under my breath. I glimpsed at the clock on my wall right next to my Niall Horan poster. "7:30 am!? WHAT!? I'm late!" i ran into the bathroom, grabbed my toothbrush and jumped into the shower. I took the quickest shower ever, cleaned my ya know...parts, and grabbed my towel and ran to my room. "WHAT TO WEAR, WHAT TO WEAR!" i scrambled through my closet, and grabbed anything and put it on. I heard a knock on the door, then my mom opened it, it was Alexis. She and I went to school at the same time. We actually walked to school so...we waited for each other. If i was late, she was late, if she was late, i was late.You see when i said that we were like sisters i meant it. 

*4 hours later*

It was 11:30 ish and it was time for lunch. I stood in the lunch line, quiet, shy, while everyone else talked and laughed and giggled with each other. Lunch today was mashed potatoes, carrots, and chicken nuggets. School lunch wasn't my favorite food,  but i was hungry as hell. I grabbed my lunch, scanned my school ID, and headed out to sit at the table when i was tripped and fell. Food was all over my shirt and pants. I was so embarrased. I looked up and it was the biggest bitch in my grade, Nikki. I heard everyone lauhging around me, my cheeks turned red, my fists closed in. I got up. "What the hell was that for!?" i screamed right in her face. She just looked at me up and down, and walked away. I was about to go after her like a lion and jump on her, but i refused, it was the last day of school until Summer vacation so i wouldn't want to have to stay for more time. I turned and headed to the door, i felt the hot tears fall on my cheek. "Jasmine!" someone screamed. I looked back it was Alexis. She accompanied me to the nurse's office. She let me go to my locker to grab a pair of clothes, i was lucky to have my lacrosse pants and shirt in there today. I changed. She let us stay in her office until the bell rung, we only had 40 minutes left for school to end, today was a half-day anyways. "So...girls what are you doing this summer" she asked. "Umm i dont know" i replied. "Well we are going to a concert tomorrow night actually!" alexis added. "Oh yeah! We are!" i got excited, i forgot about the concert. "Who are you gonna go see?" she asked. "One Direction!" we both yelled out. -"Who's that?" me: "a group of boys, liam, niall, harry, zayn, and louis, they were on THE X-FACTOR in 2010, and they're probably the biggest boy band in the world." *bell rings, and Alexis gets up* nurse: "oh well i hope you girls have fun tomorrow, stay safe, bye!" We ran out of the office and out of the doors.

We got to my house, my mom was sitting in the kitchen with her head on the table crying. I ran to her, "Mom? Are you okay?" My heart was beating 394083208925 beats per minute, why was she crying? Was she hurt? Did someone die? My mom pulled me into my room, Alexis stayed in my living room waiting. My mom gave me the devistating news. My father died in a car accident an hour ago. "MOM, why didn't you get me at school!? Or maybe call me!? He's my dad mom, my DAD!" I ran out of the house and sat on the porch, sobbing. Alexis probably heard what happened. She sat next to me and patted my back, i hugged her and broke down in tears. She tried to comfort me by saying it was alright, and that everything was going to be okay. I calmed down a bit. 

After a few hours of sitting on the porch and talking to Alexis, i went inside. It was about 6 pm. Mom was sleeping on the couch. She left my dinner on a plate on the table but i had no appetite. My father's funeral was in a week, due to how bad the accident was and how bad he got hurt. I went to my run and locked the door. Alexis went home, her mom called her about 13 times, but she told her that she was busy doing something. I lay on my bed, grabbed my ipod and turned on shuffle. "Torn" came on. I started crying after a while, then i closed my eyes and turned the lights off. Tomorrow was going to be a big day.
