Katherine Pierce-Sired.

You met her during the 1890s. You were a house cleaner to a powerful property owner when Katherine stumbled into your life. She was, of course, seeking refuge and hiding from Klaus. Your employer had commanded you to look after his guest and you were glad to do so.

You remembered the first time you spoke with her. When you had shown her to her room.

"Here we are. I hope you like the room. If you need something, feel free to confront me." You said kindly.

"Thank you, this is more than enough." She said, turning towards you and giving you a smile. You heart stuttered at her smile.

You gave her small smile in return before you turned away to exit the room.

"I didn't quite catch your name." you heard behind you.

"Y/n." you replied before walking out the door.

The following days passed very smoothly. Katherine was always kind to you. She didn't treat you as a house cleaner; rather, she treated you like her only friend. You both would spend hours together chatting on random subjects. You found yourself falling for her everyday but she remained clueless.

It hurt you, to love a person and not get any in return. However, you didn't want to ruin your friendship by confessing your love for her.

Katherine thought of you a lot too, though not in a romantic way, at first at least. She thought you were special and that she had a connection with you but her main priority at the time was keeping herself alive and hidden from Klaus.

One night, she suddenly burst into your bedroom, taking you by surprise.

"Is everything okay, Kat?" you asked, you had become accustomed to calling her that and fortunately, she didn't mind.

"We have to go." She replied, taking your hand and standing you up on the floor.

"What? Go where?" you asked confused. She looked at you, long and hard, a bit of sadness on her face mixed with confusion. You didn't like seeing her so lost, you wanted to comfort her but you couldn't do it if she didn't tell you what the matter was.

Katherine sighed as if she had made a hard decision.

"Come here." She muttered, pulling you close. She bit her wrist and touched the cut to your lips.

The metallic taste of blood covered your tongue. You tried to push away getting more confused as to why she was doing this. You wanted to ask her a million questions but as soon as she dropped her wrist, you heard a crack and your vision went black.

When you woke up, you felt a little disorientated. Your head felt a little heavy and when your vision cleared out, you realized that you weren't in your bedroom anymore. In fact, you weren't in the property owner's house anymore. You were in a room but it was small. You started panicking a little when someone walked through the door.

"About time you woke up." Katherine said.

"Katherine, what's going on? Where are we?" you ask, no longer ready to wait for an explanation.

"I'll explain everything, y/n. I promise." She said softly which surprised her. She knew what she had done. She knew it wasn't right, to bring you into her world which was full of dangers. Perhaps she felt guilty.
