I sprinted down the stairs, my arm throbbing. I have to warn mom, I thought. Then I heard a scream.
I was too late.
"Mom!" I yelled. Running towards her but they had already shoved her out the door.
I grabbed the phone and called my other close friend, Amelia. After two rings she picked up.
"Hello?" She asked.
I choked back a sob, "Amelia it's, it's awful. The men, they they..." I couldn't finish I just couldn't stop crying.
"Calm down, Triniti what's going on?" She question calmly.
"The man who broke my hand, he kidnapped my mom!" I was yelling now.
"I'll be right over." She said then hung up.
What seemed like hours went by before I heard a knock at my door. I had stopped crying for the most part, but my eyes were still really red.
I opened the door and Amelia pulled me into a hug. "I'm so sorry." She whispered.
Amelia was tall and skinny with dirty blonde hair that was bleached from her years of swimming. She had beautiful green/brown eyes and thick dark eyelashes. She looked like she had just woke up.
"Are you going to try and find her?" She asked.
I nodded, if I didn't, who would? Then I heard the phone ring, it was Caleb.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Triniti, Amelia told me what happened. I'm on my way." He said, gasping for breath.
"Ok." I responded and hung up. Amelia was staring intently at me.
"I didn't think you'd find the time to tell him." She said in her defense.
"It's ok, I was going to tell him anyway."
We talked and developed a plan, I was going to find my mom, even if it killed me.
