It was a beautiful day on the grounds of Hogwarts. Light was spilling in through the large paned windows, glistening softly on the fruit which lay delicately out in intricately carved bowls. The Great Hall was completely empty, apart from one. A teenage boy with blonde hair was slumped on a bench on the far side of the room. His grey eyes were creased in annoyance, and his mouth softly parted from the weariness that had taken over him. The boy sighed, grabbing a large green apple from the bowl. He cupped it in his hands, and raised it till it was level with his eyes.
"Oh apple. Why won't Harry ever love me? He's so obsessed with the Weaslette, he won't even spare a second glance at me."
The boy sighed, staring sadly at the green fruit. All he wanted was love. To be filled with joy and not hatred. And he definitely loved Potter. His dark, beautiful hair, his gorgeous body.
And his eyes. They were magnificent. A deep, magical green, which you could get seemingly lost in. Not too different from the apple, he observed, turning it around in his palms. The similarities in colour were uncanny, actually. They both held hues of emerald and gold, and were magnificent to look at.The blonde widened his eyes in shock, and inspected the apple closer. It was absolutely divine! It's surface was as shiny as a newly minted coin, it's stalk as sharp as a needle. He couldn't believe his eyes. Maybe he didn't need Potter anyways. No.
Draco Malfoy had his apple. And personally, he thought it far suppressed the black haired wizard in beauty.
"Oh Apple!" Draco cried, sliding a delicate finger down the apples shiny surface. "Please tell me your name! I couldn't dare leave this hall without you, or let another man take you as his own." The boy smiled sweetly at his fruit, hoping dearly that it answered.
The apple did not answer.
Draco sighed in desperation. "Please don't be shy, I won't eat you, I promise." He held out his pinky finger, in hopes that the apple would succumb to his gesture and give away it's name.He waited. And waited. Nothing could distract him from his one true love.
"Hello Draco. My name is Apple-fonzo. But you can call me Apple." Chimed Apple. Draco cheered in celebration, and put the apple nearer his face. He couldn't believe it! He had found something to love him. The boy smiled sweetly down at the small apple.
"Hi there. Do you want to come somewhere with me? I have something to show you." Draco asked the fruit. He was excited to show Apple his surprise. Maybe it had been for Harry initially, but he was sure Apple would enjoy it all the same.
"I would love to!" Apple cried, and then the two set of on a marvellous adventure to Draco's surprise.
It was going to be a good day.
