I woke up early and got in the shower. It was Thursday. Tomorrow was my date with Adam. I was honestly excited. I put on some grey leggings and a plain black tee shirt. I put on some black Vans and walked downstairs to get my backpack. I was getting used to the cast on my wrist. The only good thing was that I didn't have to participate in gym, I hate gym.
I got downstairs and saw Kai.
"Hey little si.." Kai started but I cut him off by the sound of the front door slamming. I've been standing up to Kai a little more since last weekend. Arabella was picking me up this morning. We were getting really close. Her and Josh are happy. I got in the passenger seat and said Hi to Arabella.
"Hey girl!!" Arabella said excitedly.
"So how are you and Josh?" I asked.
"We're doing great!!" She replied excitedly again.
"Okay what happened. I know you're very preppy but this is unusual for you." I said.
She blushed. "We... we kissed last night on our date." She said.
"Oh my gosh really?! I said. Her and Josh haven't been going out that long.
"Yeah it was amazing!!" She squealed. We pulled into the school.
"Text me later." She said to me as I got out.
"Okay." I said and shut the door. I walked into the school. Usually nobody talks to me in the halls but these past two weeks everyone's been saying hello to me or trying to start conversations with me. I walked up to my locker and opened it.
"Hey Clary. Where were you this morning?" Veronica asked.
"I texted you this morning that Arabella was picking me up today." I replied.
She looked at her phone and saw my text.
"Oh, we'll do you need a ride home?" She asked.
"No, Adam's taking me home." I replied.
"Oh." Veronica said and walked away. Lately she's been distant, we weren't talking as much. The first bell rang and I went to class.
"Hey Clary." Jace said.
"Hey Jace." I replied. He smiled.
"So did you do understand the math homework?" Jace asked.
"Hell no, this shit's confusing. Did you?" I said.
"Yeah." Jace said. I opened my mouth to say something when I was cut off by Mrs. Watson.
"Jace, Clary, Anything you want to share with the rest of the class?" Mrs. Watson said.
"No, that's why we were whispering." Jace replied with a smirk. I laughed.
"Detention. Both of you." Mrs. Watson said before continuing her lesson.
We sat quietly, trying not to extend our punishment. At the end of class Mrs. Watson said she had an announcement to make.
