Regina woke to a shrek. She immediately jumped out of her bed and ran across the hall, to find Kate awake and in tears. Killian soon came rushing in with just a pair of boxers.

"What's wrong?" Killian asked as he tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes.

" I - I - I had a nightmare!" Kate stuttered, absolutely terrified.

"Shhh, It's okay" Regina cooed as she climbed into bed next to Kate, wrapping her arms around the young girl. "Do you want to talk about it?" Regina asked as she wiped away the tears that stained Kate's pale cheeks.

"No, not really." Kate sighed.

"That's okay darling." Killian replied.

"I'm sorry to have woke you guys up. You can go back to sleep." Kate said.

"Don't worry about it." Regina smiled. "Why don't we go make some breakfast."

Kate followed Regina downstairs to the kitchen to start making some food. Killian soon came down still in just a pair of boxers.

"You going to put some clothes on today?" Regina sassed, trying to keep herself from staring.

"What? Afraid you won't be able to resist me?" Killian teased.

"No, but you're daughter is sitting right here so..." Regina said giving a crappy excuse.

"Yes, your majesty." Killian said as he rolled his eyes, turning to walk back upstairs.

Kate laughed as Regina turned back to making breakfast. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing." Kate replied with a smirk.

"Come on, spill!" Regina insisted.

"Oh, I just think it's funny how the two of you are completely head over heals for the other, but you pretend like you hate each other."

"Me, in love with him? Yeah right!"

"You were practically drooling in the pancake mix when he came down here shirtless." Kate teased.

"So what if I do like him?" Regina replied.

"Talk to him," Kate insisted. "He likes you too."

"And you know this how?"

"I have my ways." Kate replied.

Later that night when Kate was in her room asleep, Regina and Killian were down in the kitchen. Regina was pouring herself some wine, while Killian munched on some snacks. "Would you like some?" Regina asked holding up the bottle.

"Do you have anything stronger?" Killian asked.

"Yeah," Regina laughed as she grabbed the bottle of rum from her top cabinet.

After pouring the glass for Killian, they went to the living room and sat down on one of the couches, as the fireplace softly crackled in the background. Regina pulled a blanket over her lap as placed her glass on the coffee table, before she snuggled into the back of the couch.

"Love, I can't express how amazing this has been to have your support and help with Kate. I was never expecting to have a child, and I have no idea how to be a parent, because I never had a real one of my own." Killian said sliding a little closer to Regina.

"Well I never thanked you properly for saving me in the woods the other day." Regina said as she too moved closer.

Killian moved his good hand up to her cheek guiding her lips closer to his. Regina closed her eyes as she inhaled Killian natural scent of the sea, of course mixed with the rum on his breath. There lips moved together in a slow but passionate pattern. Regina brought a hand up to the back of Killian's head, running it through his hair at the base of his neck.

They pulled back, both out of breath and minds racing. Regina gasped into Killian's deep blue eyes, as they caught their breaths.

"That was..." Killian began.

"Definitely not a one time thing!" Regina laughed.

She snuggled into Killian's side as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Killian planted a soft kiss to the lot of her head as she drifted off to sleep. "Goodnight my queen."
