It was dinner now, Mrs Spark had told me to return to her at lunch but she wasn't there. To be honest, I was really annoyed.
"How dare he!" Louis groaned, moving his tray and sitting next to me.
"I know. I'm really annoyed about it" I moaned, sitting back putting my earphones in my ears. I saw from across the room all the way at the back was Liam Payne and his gang.
"He's looking at me" I whispered looking down at my phone.
"Why doesn't he take a picture?" Louis said, now looking at the bad boys. It was silent for a moment before Marcel turned up, holding his tray, standing next to me, looking really nervous.
"P-please can I s-sit here?" He stuttered. My foot was on the chair next to me. I looked Marcel in the eye and pushed the chair away with my foot.
Marcel took it and sat next to me. I wasn't the type to hold grudges against my friends, but I was annoyed. Louis went back to his lunch but barely ate anything. I listened to my music, my lunch on my tray untouched. I stared at my tray, falling into a daydream.
Next thing I knew, Louis was tapping my shoulder. I looked at Louis then to the person behind him who he was pointing too.
Liam Payne.
"Can I help you?" I asked, as if I didn't know.
He ran his hands through his hair, a trick most girls fell for but not me. Liam put his hands in his denim jacket and stared at me, his tongue slipping out from his closed lips and sliding slowly across his top lip slowly.
"Let's talk babe" he said nodding in the direction of the exit. He walked on ahead, guess he didn't want to be seen walking with me.
"Fine" I mumbled, grabbing my bag I patted Louis' shoulder and pulled the thumbs up to Marcel and walked off towards a waiting Liam Payne. We walked in silence till he got to the lockers. The corridor was empty.
That was a good sign...I think.
"Why did you do it?" I asked breaking the silence. Liam looked up at me, his hand reaching up to my hair. I pulled back. Liam scoffed, looked away and then answer looking back at me in the eye "You were distracting me, if Spark wasn't going to keep banging on about it, you would have been in class to the end" I folded my arms. Not swayed by his story.
"How could I been distracting you? My back was facing you the whole time" Liam chuckled darkly before stepping closer to me, my back pressed against the locker. I wasn't scared, a little intimidated to say the least but not scared.
I tried to move away, until Liam's hands pressed against the locker, either side of me. Payne's mouth came closer to me, moving to my ear "Your cute when your angry" he whispered.
My legs could have melted there and then. Putting my hands against his chest, I gripped his clothes then using the strength I could muster I pushed him away. It worked. Liam stumbled 2 steps back. Surprised at first but then smirking at my face expression.
"Is Liam Payne really stooping so low he has to try and get me to be with him?" I mocked. Payne's smirk instantly fading "awh someone's getting a bit desperate" I patted Liam's cheek lightly.
Suddenly he grabbed both my wrists and pinned me against the lockers. He mouth moving closer to my ear once again. "Wanna try that again sweetheart?" His voice dark and threatening but still to die for. Payne leaned back and stared in my grass green eyes with his chocolate brown ones.
I quickly regained my posture, trying not to show him how scared I was. I didn't want Liam Payne to tell the whole school that I got scared. I'd never live it down.
He stared more into my eyes, as if he was searching for something in them. His eyes showed confusion and...lust? A door opened down the corridor causing Liam to let go of my hands but his eyes still intently fixed on mine.
"Is everything alright here?" From that voice it was Mr. William's our Maths teacher. Liam waited a while before responding, finally taking his brown orbs off mine.
"Fine" he leaned back to my ear for a third time "I'll see you later baby" And he walked off down the corridor and out of sight. Mr. William's walked up to me, not totally convinced by Payne's reply.
"Is everything okay Veronica?" He asked worried.
I snapped out of my trance. I looked at Mr. W before nodding and giving a reassuring smile. "Yes sir. Everything's just fine really" I said, walking in the opposite direction Payne went. I didn't know where I was going but anywhere was good enough for me.
