I decided to make an all day breakfast for us both.

Opening a tin of beans I poured them into a bowl and heated them in the microwave. Cracked two eggs in the frying pan, on a different frying pan I cooked 4 sausages.

I already had two plates out ready. Soon enough the eggs were cooked and I put one knows each plate.

My mind was so fixed on getting this right that I didn't notice Liam standing in the doorway.

Next was the sausages. 2 each. The beans were done and I shared the bowl between us.

I made two cups of tea and 4 rounds of toast.

The hash browns which Liam burnt his hands on the tray looked edible just abit burnt on the corners.

Everything was set on the table. What was missing?

Oh the salt!

"Nurse. Teacher and chef. Is there nothing you dont do?" Liam asked, somewhat suprised.

I jumped alittle. Startled. I chose to ignore his remark. My reply would only kill the mood.

"Get it while its hot" I smiled. Liam unfolded his arms and sat across from me.

We didn't talk much. We were both hungry so we were more focused on our breakfast.

Liam's eyes hardly left me. I felt abit uncomfortable, being watched whilst I ate.

After breakfast, Liam washed up and I went for a wash.

I glanced in the mirror and stared. My hair was messy. I pulled and fixed it best I could.

"Ron?!" Liam called me "Ron are you ready?" He didn't want to take me home and I didn't want to either but Mother needed taking care of.

No one else will do the job.

I exited the bathroom and went downstairs to Liam. Regret in his eyes.

His hand reaching to my cheek, stroking it gently then taking my hand and pulling me out the house to his car.

I didn't know what I was going to say to my mum.

I looked at Liam, watching him lock his house and getting into the car.

This wasn't fair on him. Liam shouldn't get dragged into this.
