A/N: this book contains strong language, homosexuality, offensive topics, drug addiction, and might have some triggering scenes that have to do with suicide or suicide thoughts (idk if I'm actually going to do that though.. it depends on the storyline) either way enjoy the book and Reader Discretion is Advised

Cameron's POV

I don't know what to say. "Are you serious right now?!!" I hear the older man yell. "Why do you do this?!" He yells again. "I can't talk to you about this right now Angel!" I scream back about to get up and leave. "I love you Cameron.." he grabs my hand but I yank it away. "Why can't you just admit it?!"

"Every time I try to talk to you about what happened. You just ignore me and act as if you..you.. didn't kiss me back" sadness in his voice as he continues to speak. I look away, because seeing Angel cry hurt more then not being able to love him.

"We can't.. Angel we just.. can't.. I-..." I respond with restraint in my voice for what I was about to say. "I don't love you.. I love Jennifer... let's just forget what happened.." I can hear Angel shed a tear, but before he begins to sob I just walk to door, grab my things and walk out.

1 month earlier...

"Cameron dinners ready!" My mother yells from downstairs. "We'll be down in a sec mom!!" I yell back. "But before we get food, I need to beat your ass in this level first" I taunt Angel as me and him are in my room trying to beat each other in Mario kart. "In your dreams Cam.." he teases back.

Angel is my best friend since 6th grade. He's been there through thick and thin with me and we basically always hang out every day. Angel might as well see my house as his second home.

"FUCKKKK!! One of your shells hit me!! Oh you're about to get it now!!!" I then get my banana ready, and once I see Angel directly behind me I let it go. "Ha!! You gotta try harder to get me to lose that easily!" He smirks while he dodges my banana and takes first place. "3...2...1!!! I WON!!!!" Angel yells in excitement as he beats me for the third time today. "You just got lucky Angelo.." I say as an excuse to losing. "Yeah I guess I got lucky three times in a row!!! Also I told you to not call me Angelo" he responds slightly offended at the name I gave him. "Whatever Angelo. My mom made pasta let's go"

Me and Angel race to the bottom of the stairs to get first dibs on the food. "God what am I going to do with you two? " my mom giggles as she sees us fighting over who gets the food first. "You two are like little kids, now here take the food and don't fight over a seat at the table will you" she smiles while passing us both plates. We sit at the table digging into the food like lions who haven't ate in a year.

"Thanks for the food Mrs. Tames. It's delicious" Angel thanks. "Don't worry about it Angel it's my pleasure.. you're always welcome here anyways" my mom replies with a smile. "Stop being such a kiss ass" "hey I'd only be a kiss ass if I was actually getting some ass" Angel winks. "Language you two.." my father says from a distance. "Sorry.." me and Angel say in unison.

My father gets a plate from the kitchen and takes a seat at the table. "Ugh have you seen the news? They're trying to legalize gay marriage.. yuck.." he says in disgust. "Are you serious? These fags just don't get it. Marriage is between a women and a man" My mom replies in agreement.

Me and angel keep in silence as we hear them talk about the issue. Angel is gay. He hasn't came out to anyone but me. Even though I'm straight, we don't really talk about relationships anyways so it didn't matter. He told me he found out back in 8th grade, while playing a game of spin the bottle.

*flashback*
Angel's POV

It was the end of 8th grade and the entire grade was throwing a huge party to celebrate the beginning of high school. Me and Cameron have never been to parties because it just wasn't our thing. We would naturally stay home, play video games like normal buds would do. It was Cameron's idea to change up the routine we were so used to.
