"Of course it is. That bitch." I say.
"You know him?" Anti asks.
"Yes, very well actually." I cross my arms.
"How?"
"It's a long story that took place a long time ago. Moral of it? Don't fuck with demons when you don't know what your doing." I said turning around. I walked into the next room, there was only half of a wall separating us, so I could still hear him. He just couldn't see what I was doing.
I grabbed a book and started skimming through it. I placed it down and walked back to Anti realising I need more information.
"What does he want with me now?" I ask.
"I'm not sure, he never told me. All he said was that I needed to talk to you, learn all I could about you, then take you to him." Anti said sincerely.
"This again? When is he going to learn." I chuckle to myself at how stupid this was. How stupid Alastair was.
"He likes to stalk me after what happened. And this isn't the first time he's tried to kidnap me." I say giving slightly more insight.
"What happened?" Anti was a curious little thing.
"Alastair and I were, well, sort of together for a time. Things ended up not working out. Apparently demons need love too. He's been sending people after me for hundreds of years trying to get me back. Obviously demons also have a hard time getting over love." I spoke with hatred laced in my voice.
"I see." Anti said softly.
"What are you going to do with me?" He questioned with a bit of anxiety in his voice.
"Well, if I can no longer find a use for you then I will just kill you." I said bluntly.
"No don't. I can help you." His words were sudden and shaky.
"How do you think you can help me?" I raise an eyebrow. This should be good.
"In literally anything. I-I can help by keeping other demons away, I can hide you. I can help you in spells, I can clean up just don't kill me, please." He panted.
I thought for a second.
I really don't need him for any of those things. But there's something about him, I can't put my finger on it.
"Alright, fine. Here's the deal: you work for me, and I won't kill you. You try anything, and I'll do more than just kill you. Deal?" I ask.
"Deal." He said holding out his hand.
I walked into the sigil and stood in front of him. I placed my hand on the side of his neck and kissed him, he hesitantly kissed back while I burnt another sigil into his neck.
He pulled back quickly, it was only a peck.
"Ow shit!" He said grabbing at his neck.
"The pain will go away soon, it only lasts for a few minutes. And you should have known that binding a deal with a kiss works much better than a handshake." I said beginning to walk away, catching him blush.
"Wait don't leave." He called after me.
"You can leave that sigil, it's not holding you anymore. The one on your neck counter acts it and binds you to me." I said continuing to walk outside.
He followed suit and we walked into my house.
"What do you want to eat?" I ask opening my cabinets.
"Oh, um, anything is fine. Thank you." Anti said standing there awkwardly.
"Ok, well do you need to eat? Because I don't. And if you don't need to I won't make anything." I said turning around to look at him.
"I don't need to." He slightly blushed.
"Ok." I closed the cabinets and walked into the dining area/living room. I grabbed a book off of the shelf, something about lore and sat on my small couch.
Anti was in the doorway watching me. I opened the book and began to read. He sat next to me just looking at me.
I looked up from my book.
"May I help you?" I asked. He turned red.
"Is it alright if I read anything?" He asked looking to the shelf.
"Anything on the top two shelves, help yourself." I said looking back down at my book.
"Thank you." He said and got up. I looked to see what book he was taking, it was a book on Irish myths and legends.
Of course it's an Irish one, he's got a thick Irish accent. I almost chuckle to myself.
He sat down beside me, our knees touching. It didn't bother me but I could feel him tense at the contact.
"Are you alright?" I smirk.
"Oh, um, yeah. I'm fine." He blushed again.
I have to admit, he is very good looking, and his accent only makes it better. He seems a bit to innocent to be a demon however. Maybe it's just him being afraid of me, or maybe he's more human than expected.
I read my book for about fifteen minutes before speaking.
"So, Anti, what year were you born?" I looked at him.
"Oh, I was born in 1836. What year were you born?" He looked back at me.
"1752." I said closing my book.
"Really? I knew you were older than me but I didn't know it was by that magnitude. But you don't look a day over 25! You must be a powerful witch to have lived this long and still look so beautiful." He instantly turned bright red realising what he'd said.
I chuckle at his embarrassment.
"Well thank you, I am quite powerful. You know what they say, practice makes perfect. There's been much trial and error. Alistair was definitely a trial and an error." I said making Anti laugh. I smiled at him.
"I think that was the first time I saw you smile." He said.
"You as well."
"You should smile more often." He blushed.
