Ash's POV
Flying at speeds of a few hundred miles per hour, we headed towards the Indigo Plateau. I was riding on Charizard, while Aeria was riding Latios. I may have lost six leagues before, but after? No. Not a single loss. Also, I now have a keystone to enable Mega Evolution. Of course, my Pokemon and I have trained in the harsh blizzards of Mt. Silver, growing in strength, deepening the bonds between us. As of now, Greninja is my strongest, able to be on par with three Legendaries at once, as was Goodra, Charizard and Lucario, next was Hawlucha, Serperior, Samurwott and Salamence, able to take on two Legendaries at once. The rest, Emboar, Sylveon, Gallade and Gardevoir, were on par with two Legendaries at once.

I am very sure that I could make it to the Finals without much problem, as would Aeria. I have a rough idea what her team is like, so here goes. Rayquaza as her strongest, able to take on four normal Legendaries at once, and able to defeat Primal Groudon and Kyogre alone, as was her Drakeon and Lucario. Next would be Falture, Latias, Latios and Reshiram, on par with four Legendaries, then Gallade, Gardevoir, Dracominium, Dragalge, Unfezant, able to take on three Legendaries at once. Now, her team may be stronger, but mostly because almost all of them were either Legendary or sort of Pseudo-Lengendary.

A roar from Charizard brought me back to reality. We were flying above Viridian City. Soon we would be at the Indigo Plateau.

We were a week early, so there wouldn't a line of people in the Pokemon Centre.

Upon reaching the Indigo Plateau, the first thing both of us noticed was that it was much larger, shinier than we remembered. Heading towards the Pokemon Centre, I couldn't help but smile a little. The world would finally know my strength.

Like we predicted, no one was there yet. We walked straight up to the counter, and were greeted by Nurse Joy's cheerful "How may I help you? "
Aeria and I were both wearing cloaks, so that our faces were hidden.

" Silver and I would like to register for the Masters Tournament. " I told Nurse Joy.

" Can I have your Pokedex for a moment? "

We handed over our Pokedex and waited while Nurse Joy checked up our achievements and trainer licence. She looked at us, shocked. " You are.....?"
" Yes but we do not wish for anyone to know just yet. " Aeria told her.

At that moment, the sliding doors opened behind us. We turned around to see who it was, and when we did, my heart nearly stopped.

It was them.

The traitors. They walked in, laughing and talking, not caring who was in front of them. My hands clenched into fists. I wanted very badly to lunge at them, to make them pay for what they did to me, what they made me feel. Then, a hand grasped my wrist. It was Aeria. Just visible under her hood, her face told me " Not now. "

We walked towards the other end of the room, trying to get out of the way of the group. Then, a teenager I recognized as Max tripped on his shoelaces and fell, knocking me over. Max stood up, and in order to avoid the embarrassment, blamed it on me. " He tripped me up! "

" You should tie your shoelaces properly and not blame it on others. " Aeria had come over. She pulled me back onto my feet, then turned to Max, glaring.

" I challenge you to a Pokemon battle!" Max ignored Aeria and turned to me.

" I don't take challenges from weaklings. " I told him, then turned, preparing to walk off.

" I bet you don't want to battle me because you're weak! "

" What did you say? " I spun, nearly dislodging my hood. " Very well, what are the rules? "

" One on one. "

I gestured to the battlefield outside.
