Chapter One Skys Pov

        I miss my mom so much I can't believe I lost her before I even got a chance to meet her. If it wasn't for that drunk driver my mom would still be here with my dad, my brother, and me.

"Baby are listening," Jay asked?

"I'm sorry, I zoned out."

"It's alright," Jay said before kissing my forehead.

"Do you remember when I told you about what the alpha had talked to me about," Jay asked?

"It was about the warrior position, right?"

"Yeah it was."

"Are you going to take it, the job," I asked?

"Yeah unless you don't want me too."

"I want you to, it's just you won't see me much cause you'll be off on missions and stuff," I said while looking down.

"I'm sorry baby," Jay said while hugging me close to his chest.

"Don't be I want you to take the job."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

Jay hugged me close to him before picking me up.

"I leave tomorrow morning to start my training, so i'll call you whenever I can and if I can't call i'll try to text I promise," Jay said before kissing me.

I just nodded before curling up to his chest and closing my eyes. I woke up when I felt someone carrying me to the car.

"I love you Sky and I don't ever want to lose you," Jay said before placing me in the passenger seat and buckling me up.

I put my head on the window before closing my eyes and going to sleep. I whimpered when I started dreaming about my mom and how it was my fault that she died. I then jolted awake when I felt someone touching my arm.

"Baby, baby are you okay," Jay asked panicking?

I just nodded before closing my eyes again just to open them again.

"Baby are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah i'm fine," I said while looking out the window.

"I'm going to ask your dad if maybe you can move in with me when I get back or unless you want to call him now?"

"I can call him now and ask if I can stay over at your place then i'll talk to him about moving in with you," I said while dialing my dad's number.

~Sky~ Hey daddy.

~James~ Hey baby girl.

~Sky~ Can I stay with Jay tonight he has to leave tomorrow for his training so can I please daddy?

~James~ Yes baby you can and i'll see you tomorrow

~Sky~ I love you daddy and i'll see you tomorrow

~James~ I love you too baby girl

I hit the end button before hugging Jay.

"Is everything okay," He asked with concern?

"Yeah everything is fine and I can stay with you tonight."

He hugged me before turning the car back on and going to his place. I fell asleep on the way to his place, I woke up when I felt someone unbuckling me and picking me up.

"Shh love I got you."

I started to go back to sleep until I felt something wet hit my face. I looked up and it started downpouring. Jay covered me up with his jacket before running inside so that he wouldn't get that wet. I started shivering from the cold so I tried to curl up to Jay but his shirt was wet so that didn't help me being cold at all.

"Sorry baby girl," Jay said before walking up the stairs to his room.

He set me down in front of the closet and he came back with a pair of shorts and a shirt. He gave me the shirt and showed me where the bathroom was. I went into the bathroom and changed into his shirt before going to his bed. Jay picked me up and laid me down on his bed before covering me up and walking to his side.

Once he was covered up I went and curled up to his side and laid my head on his chest. I was listening to his heartbeat before I finally fell asleep. I was woken up by someone moving around in the room. I woke up forgetting where I was at then I remembered that I was at Jays.

"Sorry baby girl did I wake you up?"

"It's fine I need to get up anyways," I said before grabbing my clothes and dashing to the bathroom.

After I changed and exited the bathroom Jay was at the door waiting for me. I threw myself into his embrace before crying. Jay rubbed my back and was saying sweet things to me to try to calm me down.

"I- I don't want you to leave," I sobbed.

"I know baby but it's for a good cause I need to get trained so I can go and help other packs," He said before kissing my forehead.

He picked me up and carried me downstairs where the other females were crying for their mates as well. I knew some of the females but not all of them. I whimpered and held on to Jay.

"I'll call and text every chance I get alright?"

I just nodded before biting back a sob and letting him go.

He hugged me one last time before walking out of the door and shifting with the other males and females. I ran back to his room before jumping on the bed and start crying and I ended up crying myself to sleep.
