Mom is right now dropping Ethan off across the street with Esme. I am getting dressed for my first day of school. I found the cutest blouse I forgot I had last night, and I am wearing it today. Mom bought it for me a few years ago, I am surprised I can still fit it.
I walk out the door, and I lock up the house. I get into my Accord and I start it up. I put the school's address in the GPS, and I learn my GPS is broken, or in other words, fried. I scowl at the piece of junky metal in my nice car. I'll remove it.
I pull away from the house, and I drive into the small town of Forks. The school is across town, and I sigh in relief when I find it. I see a rusty truck, and a girl who appears to be new too. Good! I park beside her and I get out.
"Are you new too?" I ask.
The girl looks at me. "Yes, I'm Isabella, but please call me Bella."
I smile. "I'm Athena. Wanna be best friends?"
Bella accepts and we walk into the building, ignoring the stares of the students who have been here their whole lives. We find the office with a slight struggle and we go to the receptionist.
"Names?" The receptionist asks, clearly annoyed.
"Isabella Swan, and..." Bella looks at me.
"Athena Williams." I reply.
The lady looks through the filing cabinet, and hands us our schedules, a slip for the teachers to sign, and out lockers & combinations. Bella and I share every class. We have English first, so I think that is where we are headed right now.
Our teacher is a male named Mr. Johnson. He signs our slips and I see a bronze hair teenaged boy sitting alone in the back.
"Athena, take a seat beside Edward Cullen, please."
For some reason, Edward looks relieved that it is me and not Bella. I shrug it off and I take the seat beside Edward, who is wearing some amazing cologne.
"You smell really good, what are you wearing?" I ask him.
Edward smiles smoothly at me. "Bod mens body spray."
I moan. "I love that smell."
Edward smiles at me before he looks forward at Mr. Johnson. I smile at the guy and I grab my notebook. I begin writing notes for the class.

Fourth period is biology with Mr. Molina. Edward is struck beside Bella, and I am beside a photograph taker named Eric Yorkie. Eric is pretty cool.
"Can I have a picture for the news letter?" Eric asks.
"Yes, you can." I reply.
I put my finger on my lip and he snaps a photo.
"You're so photogenic. I love it." Eric compliments. "Welcome to Forks High School, of you need a friend, I am here."
I smile. "Thanks Eric. I am friends with Bella, the camera shy girl. But we could both use more friends."
Eric smiles wider. "That sounds perfect. Sit with us at lunch."
"We will, Eric." I smile. "Promise."
Lunch happens when the Bella rings. Jessica, Angela, Tyler, Mike, and Lauren sit with us too. Lauren is dating Tyler, and they seem happy, that is good. Be a cowers beside me, shy. I smile at her until I notice a bunch of flawless teens and Edward.
(Pretend Jasper is with Edward, and Alice's boyfriend, Jason, is introduced with Alice. And Athena asks who they are, not Bella')

he Cullen's? Alice and Jason seem really close. Edward and Jasper are solo, and I like Jasper. Rosalie and Emmett are a couple. They are adopted siblings, so I don't see any harm in that.
"Like don't try with them, they are too good for anyone here." Jessica says.
One of them clearly rejected her. I see Edward laugh, as if he heard my thoughts. I smile, cool he can read my mind. Hey Eddie! This is so cool, you can hear me and I don't have to speak. Edward laughs again as they take a seat.
"I wasn't planning on it." Bella finally replies.
She so will. I see Edward glare at Bella, but there is love in the glare too. Jasper is doing the same towards me. You guys..... I swear, I'm worried.. Edward's eyes snap towards me and he just laughs. He goes back to glaring at Bella. It's good to trust somebody

Edward catches me when I leave the building. "Jasper and I will be gone a few days. Don't tell Bella, she will worry too much."
I nod my head. "Secret is safe with me."
Edward pats my shoulder. "Thanks Athena, it's good to trust somebody."
I smile and I walk over to my car. "Wanna sleep over? I have to get my brother from the Cullen's, then go home."
Bella shakes her head with a frown. "Can't. My dad wants me home."
I shrug and I get in my car. I leave the parking lot and Jasper blocks me in. He jogs up to me.
"I am Jasper Hale." Jasper greets.
"I'm Athena Williams. I am stopping by your house, to pick my brother up." I say.
"Follow me then, beautiful Athena." Jasper says before going to his car.
I blush deeply and follow Jesper to his house. I park my car behind his truck and he leads me inside. Ethan is sitting in front of the fireplace, playing with a toy truck.
"Ethan." I coo. "Big sister is here."
Ethan walks unsteadily towards me. I pick him up and place him on my hip. A woman who I assume is Esme smiles at me and offers to be his regular babysitter.
" I like the sound of that, Esme." I say. "You have a deal, your Ethan's regular babysitter."
Esme hugs me, thanking me a dozen times before letting me go. I walk home, and Jasper drives my car over.
" Edward and I are going to be visiting family in Alaska for a few days." Jasper tells me. " tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, we'll be back on Monday."
"Can't wait to see you again." I coo, kissing Jasper's cheek. "See you Monday."
I carry Ethan upstairs to his room and I change his diaper. I put on some teddy bear pajamas and I lay him in his crib, laying a thin blanket over him. Mom is working 42 hours, to get her started. She will be gone two whole days, and sleep their. Carlisle is just starting her out, and he will be staying with her.
I go to my own room after eating a burrito, store bought and microwave cooked. I change into some pajamas and I collapse into my bed. I close my eyes and I drift off to sleep.
