I am helping Bella learn to an in heels.
"Alice, this is hopeless." I scoff.
"You had hope on Jasper, why not Bella?" Alice snaps.
"Jasper's my mate." I reply snappily. "Plus, look am me. I am a vampire now because she was tempting Laurent." I shrug. "Bella, head up!"
Alice gives me a cold look before she helps Bella.
"Boys, do you have no since in design?!" I scold the guys as I walk over to them.
"Emmett, you know where the seats go, do or! The Denali coven is conning, I think the Russian coven might, I doubt it.
"Sorry." Emmett mumbles.
"Athena, calm down." Jasper whispers, stepping up behind me.
I take a deep breath and I calm. "I need contacts of my old green eyes for the wedding tomorrow. Bella invited Jessica and Angela."
Jasper nods. "Esme just got them."
Today is very stressful, with tomorrow being the big day. When Jacob got the invite, he disappeared. Sam thinks Jacob may have went to the Canadian border. Sam says I am welcome over there anytime, I don't have to ask him.
"Carlisle, I'm going to Sam's." I yell before I flash all the way to La Push
Sam let's me inside and Paul is the one who hugs me. I narrow my eyes at him in shock but I laugh and hug him back. Emily greets me with a nervous smile.
"I'm okay, I am very resistant." I smile. "Jasper has helped me out with that."
Emily hugs me and I can easily resist. She is Sam's imprint. I follow their law, no imprint can be harmed. Plus, her blood doesn't even smell tempting. I kiss her cheek before I have a seat beside Jared.
"Whats on?" I ask.
"Nothing good." Jared mumbles.
I grab the remote and I scan the channels. I found Friends. I am obsessed with this show. I put the remote away from Jared, and he just watches me watch the tv.
"How is a vampire so.... Intriguing?" Jared asks.
"I'm not sure." I reply. "Laurent was intrigued by me, that's why I told him to change me to save Bella."
Jared nods. "Yeah, there is something intriguing about you, Athena."
"He's right." Sam replies.
"I'm gonna go, I'm gonna walk in human speed through the woods. Jared, phase, walk with me until I get to the treaty line."
"Yes, ma'am." Jared solutes me.
We walk outside and Jared strips before he phases. We walk in regular speed into the trees. The animals are running or flying around. The pond water is moving with a small breeze.
The creek at the treaty line shines in the little bit of sun hitting it. Jared licks me before he runs off back to Sam's. I flash all the way back home. Jasper has a relieved face when I walk in.
"Have a good time?" Carlisle asks.
"Yes." I reply. "Apparently, I am intriguing to the wolves too. I've been feeding off of animals, and my eyes stay this shade of red."
Carlisle nods. "That's where a nomad changed you, your eyes will stay red. Esme for you contacts for tomorrow. The color of your eyes when you were human."
Esme hands me the contact case, and I thank her. I climb the stairs to my room, and everybody starts talking about how disappointed they are in me. I close my eyes and this comes across my mind.....
Why did Laurent not just kill me, instead of change me.?
