Kaylee wasn't sure who moved first, but suddenly his lips were on hers and he was pulling her into his body. She reached her hands up into his hair and yanked not so gently, in a way she was punishing him for making her feel like she was. It didn't make any rational sense and it bugged her. But at that moment, while he groaned into her mouth, she found herself not caring about logic. She just wanted more of him.

Tyler licked and nipped at her bottom lip before she finally gave into what he was asking and opened slowly opened her mouth to him. His tongue was hot and dominated her mouth. He picked her up, this time her legs wrapped around his torso and she was shoved into the wall. Her body protested just a bit but she ignored the small waves of pain. The pleasure he was giving her was more important, felt amazing. The pain was worth it.

"Wait, are you okay?" Tyler asked, pulling away. Kaylee sighed, her eyes not meeting his, her hands dropping from his hair to rest on his shoulders. "Jesus, how did I not notice this?" Tyler hissed, a hand coming up to gently run over her cheek. She still flinched, how had she not noticed the pain while kissing him? It was like nothing else had existed.

"It's nothing. Just clumsy ol' me." She shrugged but then winced again at the pain in her shoulder.

Of course Tyler somehow knew she was hurt there, too.

"Let me see." Tyler said and put her on her feet. She stared up at him in shock.

"No! I'm fine. There's nothing to see." Kaylee answered and stepped around him but he only stepped in front of her again.

"I can feel your pain, Kaylee. That's how I knew to come here." Tyler said and she blinked a few times. What?

"That makes no sense." She said and he sighed.

"I know it doesn't right now, but I need to make sure you're okay first." He said, crossing his arms.

"I'm fine!" Kaylee said.

"Then why did you cry all over me for half an hour?" Tyler shot back, raising an hour. Kaylee pursed her lips and glanced around.

"...stress." She answered.

"Stress?" Tyler said and then shook his head. "Nuh-uh, no way. I could feel your pain and your fear. That was not stress."

"How could you, supposedly, feel this pain and fear?" Kaylee asked, refusing to claim the emotions even though she had been feeling those things. It was unsettling. First he says that they were mates and now he can feel her emotions? Was he being serious or was he just crazy?

"I told you, we're mates." Tyler said.

"Right." She said with a sigh. "Look Tyler, I just--"

"Kaylee!"

Fear shot through her veins as though someone had injected her with it. Her eyes shot up to Tyler's.

"Oh God, my dad can't know you're here!" Kaylee said and grabbed Tyler's hand, dragging him to her room.

"Wait, is he the one who hurt you?" Tyler asked as they entered her room.

"Of course not!" She lied, not looking at him as she closed the door. "But you're practically naked and that's not going to look good!" She opened her window, which thankfully was on the back of the house. "You need to go!" She hissed, trying to push Tyler towards the window.

"Why do I feel like--"

"Kaylee! Where are you?" She heard her father open the front door.

"Tyler, please!" She begged, her eyes tearing up as she looked up at him. He eyed her face before nodding once and jumping out the window and sprinting off. She slammed the window shut just as her door opened.
