Yeah, this story was fins shed around a month ago, but I feel like writing another chapter essentially telling people about why reading the previous two books will be important to the series, what's to come, and a thank you. But let's do these in order, shall we?
So, Batman/Spider-Man and Batman: Duty of the Cowl. The first two books respectively. Reading these two will be important if you want to follow the series, as Batman/Spider-Man is essentially the driving point of the whole series, why Batman has his ear on the ground and finds some other heroes (yes, between Duty of the Cowl and Batman/Rorschach he has indeed met a couple of Metahumans, who may appear in book 5, the confrontation against the impending threat from space). Duty of the Cowl is also important, but not until after book 5 (yes, I have the series planned out- not chapter for chapter, just what will happen in which book- these ideas may change, however), especially with the theme of the book (revealed in the last chapter). It's a story similar to Under the Hood in many ways, I must admit, but it's a standalone Batman story that has a mystery to it. Also, that marks the first appearances of Lex Luthor, Oracle and a couple of other fan favourites (one of which may seem wasted, but trust me, he comes into play later on- much, much later on).
Now, what's to come next- I've already started writing book 4, a Batman/Spider-Man: Secret Weapon, which is basically a follow up from Batman/Spider-Man but also a sequel to Batman/Rorschach. It's going to include a few fan favourites too, including the introduction of two new heroes who will appear in book 5 too.
Now, book 5. I have everything together for it (except the writing part, of course). I have the title, the plot, the cover, the villain, the new characters, everything. Think of the Avengers, or Justice League, or any ensemble superhero film in which the heroes must join together to battle an interstellar threat. This is going to be big- like, really big. I won't reveal any more about it.
After that? Well... let's say I have plans where I want to take this series, and let's just say that it's going to go in a different direction that you may think. Again, not giving anything away.
And finally, a thank you, to my followers and you who have spent your time reading my book (or books). You won't believe how much it means to me that my books are getting attention and people are liking them. I am especially proud of this one, Batman/Rorschach. I had a blast writing it.
So thank you so much!
