The 11 year-old boy sat with his new family, a family of two.
He had been taken in by a couple who couldn't have children, who loved that boy like their own.
It was Christmas Eve, the two adults and the small boy sat in between them near the fire place.
The woman read stories to the 11 year-old while the man kept the fire going, adding wood in a few times when the fire got low.
It was a small house, but so cozy and inviting that the devil himself would be obligated to live in it.
The time was near midnight when the couple dozed off, along with the small boy.
What he did not know, was that the angel last year had stood before him, her hair slightly lighter from the time she was there.
The ten wishes she bestowed upon him last year, had helped him become who he was this year.
"Chippy darling, I grant thy another wish from heaven. Lest you sleep now in peace this Christmas, I will give you another..." The Angel whispered to the small boy, who had dozed off minutes before the clock struck 12.
She gifted him with another, one that will guide him through life.
