“Done cleaning the kitchen,” Maria said to Gavin and Charley as she went upstairs to Madison. “Let me grab some clothes, then we can leave.”“Okay, we’ll stay down here and wait for you guys,” Charley said as he pushed Gavin into the living room.
As Maria went up stairs a scream was heard from her room, soon Gavin and Charley were right behind her, “What was that scream?” Charley whispers. Soon Madison comes running out of Maria’s room covered in blood. “What the hell happened to you?” Maria said, pulling Madison down stairs as the guys checked the room.
Madison just sat in one of the kitchen chairs staring blankly at the fruit basket on the table.
“There’s nothing in your room, no blood or any sign of anyone in there,” Gavin said speeding into the kitchen, “How and why are you covered in blo--” he stopped after watching the blood on Madison disappear into thin air.
Maria saw Gavin standing there completely frozen with a shocked expression on his face, “What? Why are you just standing there? Help m--” Maria took two looks at Madison and froze. Slowly turning to Gavin, without taking her eyes off of Madison, Maria asked, “Where did all the blood go?”
“I--I don’t know I was talking and then it all just evaporated or something.” Gavin took one good look at Madison then Maria and back to Madison.
“I checked the whole house, everything is still locked up and there is nothing out of the ordi--,” Charley stopped when he saw Madison. “Wait, I thought she was covered in blood?” Charley half whispered in Gavin’s ear.
“She was,” Gavin said with a confused look on his face, “but then it just vanished.”
“How does blood just vanish? I can’t even get it out of my clothes when I cut myself doing yard work,” Charley said looking at Maria and Gavin.
“I’m not exactly sure, but I think it has to do with the tall, slender man that Gavin messed with earlier,” Maria said panicked.
“Let’s take her home so she can get cleaned up and rest a little,” Charley said moving closer to Madison.
“I’ll drive Madi’s car,” Maria suggested looking for Madison’s purse.
“Gavin will you drive my truck while I sit with Madi?” Charley asked.
“Yea,” Gavin said grabbing Charley’s keys.
“Thanks,” Charley replied.
“Alright, let’s go,” Maria and Gavin said at the same time.
Charley wrapped Madi’s arms around him and carried her out to her car.
As they all left Maria shouted to her family, “I’m leaving now call me if you need to. See you guys later.”
