Charlotte's POV

We stepped out of the fireplace and into the sitting room. Right in front of the couch my dad was currently on, reading, he jumped when he heard us up pop up from the fire, my mom and I laughed. She said "Honestly Steve, you'd think you would be used to us doing that! Ha!" "I've had 51 years to get used to it Bonnie and it still surprises me! Anyway, how was 'the Alley'?" he laughed back to her.

"It was great!" I said "Char made some new friends while we were there! Some cute ones at that!" my mom said winking at me. "Mom!" I said turning red again "but yes I made some new friends, that are just friends." "Well, that's great sweetie! Can you tell me more about it at dinner?" said Dad, "Sure! Let me go finish packing these things, then I'll be right down!" I told him and then ran up the stairs to my room.

Remus POV

(right after Charlotte left)

 She smelled like vanilla... *sniffs* warm vanilla...." I thought

"EARTH TO MOONY!!!" screamed Sirius waving a hand in my face I had been staring out into space. "Huh? What?" I said snapping back to reality. "We were just talking about eating something for dinner, is that okay?" asked James "yeah I mean whatever you guys want to do...." I said "okay, there is a table over there we could all sit at," Peter said pointing at a table in the corner of the Leaky Cauldron so we all followed him and sat down.

We were all eating our food when when we started talking about what pranks to do when we got to school. Sirius said we should put a perment locking charm on the Slytherin common room door so that they couldn't get out for classes. James said we should make it so when you go to sit in the great hall you fall through the bench to the floor. Peter just agreed to them all, I just nodded the two of us weren't the masterminds behind pranks only the carrying out of them.

"I'm stuffed, ya think we can go to our room now?" I said

 When got back to the room James and Sirius ran to the bed and plopped down on it while Peter and I calmly sat on it, until James spoke up and said "what should we do now? I mean we have already planned our pranks for the first month of school soo....?" "we could play a game!" said Peter. "TRUTH OR DARE!?" said Sirius rather excited, I signed I knew what they were gonna ask me... "yeah!" both James and Peter said in unison.

So we sat in a circle on the floor, and James spun the can to see who would be going first, lucky it landed on Sirius. "Truth or Dare? Padfoot." asked James, "Dare," said Sirius immediately while puffing his chest out to make him look taller. "hmmm... OH! I got it!" James said snapping his fingers "Padfoot you have to chug two beer butters without stopping and you must be standing up!" exclaimed James as he flicked his wand and making the drinks appear, "you are making things too easy prongs! Now time me!!" Sirius said standing up and drinking......

"DONE!" Sirius said swaying a bit from drinking too fast and standing up, "impressive..." said James stroking his chin seeing that Sirius had finished his dare rather quickly. "Rkay, now it's Sirius' turn to spin!" said Peter. With that Sirius plopped back down on the floor and spun the bottle, I was a little nervous I did not want to have to do something totally ridiculous or say something I wasn't sure of. But lucky me It pointed straight at me..."RREEMUS!! woohoo!!" shouted Sirius, I forced a smile and he said "moony, Truth or Dare?" "Dare.." I said rather hesitant. "Noo, that's no fun!" Peter exclaimed, "ugh fine, Truth, only to get this out of the way." Sirius popped his knuckles "okay you must answer me this...(they all got in a little hustle and talked it over) yep okay! Do you or don't you have a very small crush on Charlotte? And why or why not?" Sirius asked.

"I don't know, it has only been a day but I would say.... she's pretty, sweet, clearly intellegant but I've never thought about actually trying to like a girl before" I said looking at the floor "You know you can tell us right, I mean we won't make fun of you for it, we want you to open up to someone Remus, we only make a big fuss because we care about you. This is out last year..." said James with a very truthful look on his face. "I know, I know, and I guess it's that I just don't want to have a crush on someone, let alone like them, I mean I couldn't live with my self if I hurt her or-" but then I was cut of by Sirius saying "You know, I don't know if you saw her today sanding up for Werewolves as she did, but I did, and if you ask me your furry little problem would only make her love you more and understand, and I know that you don't want to hurt her, or anyone else for that matter. But you won't as long as she knows not to come outside during. Plus I think you do like her. But you don't want to admit it to yourself," "Yeah I mean for once come outside of your comfort zone this year okay? And you just need to get to know her better and decide if it's true love like Evans and I then you'll know okay? But just be a bit more bold this year and do it for yourself and us, we just want you to be happy, and not be alone for the rest of your life." said James. "Evans is really just your friend, James," said Peter " I'm working on it okay!!" he snapped back at Peter. "Alright fine I'll see what happens okay? And thanks for caring so much... It means...it means a lot..." I said smiling.

"Awe that's so sweet remi!!" Sirius said,

"you know what that calls for...?" smirked James,

"wha-NO!" I said finally realizing what it meant,

"GROUP HUG!!!" screamed Peter,

As they all leaped across the floor and tackled me to the ground.

"ah get off"

"let us love you!"

"hahah!"

"Ha-no!"

"get-off-me-"

"you know you love us moony!"

"not right now james!"

"hahaha!!"

Charlotte's POV

All I could think about were my new friends especially Remus and I'm not so sure I want to get attached to someone at the moment, but Remus just has something about him he's cute, smart, funny also s- "Char!! Did you hear anything I just asked you?.." my dad said, snapping me out of my trance "what-? Yeah totally!" "then what did I say?" he said raising an eyebrow at me "ummmm... You know maybe I didn't, I'm sorry daddy. I was just thinking." We were sitting in my room talking, I on my bed and he sitting in the chair by my desk.

"I had been asking you about whether or not you were nervous about school tomorrow?" he said. "I was, but not so much anymore" I answered him, "yeah? What changed your mind?" "I have friends now, and that really calmed me down," I said. "Okay, then I hope you stay that way tomorrow! Now I'm really sorry that I can't be there to see you off, but you understand right?" he asked me, "Yeah dad, I know you can't help it, it's not your fault you need the rest for the night. I Love you." I told him "Okay good. I love you too, so much." he said and hugged me, "Goodnight." "night," we said to each other as I turned off to light on my bedside table, my mom was in earlier to say goodnight, but my dad wanted to make sure I was okay with him not coming tomorrow morning. I mean, of course, I was okay with it! I understood, I wanted him to stay home, it's so hard on him, and he needs his rest, so I don't mind. I was a little nervous about tomorrow but not as much as I was this morning after meeting James, Sirius, Peter, and Remus I feet a lot better about it- Remus... I sighed, I could not fall for a boy I only met today, but it was really hard not to at least find him adorably attractive.
