Ares held onto me and I wanted him to never leave me. I was still afraid of what might happen if he grows too angry.
I laid my head against his warm chest and wanted to love him no matter what happened in the past. I looked up at him and you could still see a smoldering protective jealousy. "Ares, there's something else too," he looked at me with a blank expression and I tried to continue. "It has to do with me."
I felt my cheeks growing warm as he held me in his lap. I wanted to tell him this for so long. "What is it, my goddess?" His low velvety voice trying to charm me.
I felt this was the least I could do for him. "I'm not your average village girl," he was intently looking at me with intrigue. "I have always been able to see other people's auras. The colors were always easy to see, a yellow here, green there, blue, purple," I looked at him with affection. "But yours was unique, Ares. It was the most beautiful color I had seen."
He smiled at me with a light curve of his lips. "What color was it? You've got me interested, if you find it so endearing," his eyes sparkled at the thought of me thinking about him, but looking up at him gave me joy.
"When I first met you, I saw a glittering crimson red mist about you. It was the most beautiful thing I had seen and still is." I could feel his left arm wrapping around my slender waist. "My father told me that my mother had the same gift. He also told me it meant true love, soul mate. I was meant to be with you."
He seemed to lighten his fury a little and I could see the person who made my world a thing of joy. He brushed his fingers through my long ebony hair. His touch tingling my skin and I leaned in and he did too. We kissed and I felt vibrant in his arms. I felt his tongue caressing mine and I let him have all of me. He was my husband now and there was no changing that. When I pulled away, his eyes thirsted for more and so did my body.
"Don't stop there," He said it like a tease and his eyes brimmed with excitement becoming vibrant blue. I knitted my fingers in his hand and got off his lap, pulling him toward the bed. He figured out my game and rolled onto the bed pulling me with him. I was on top of him and I felt more alive. I brushed my lips on his and felt his hands on my hips.
The beautiful red mist glittering around him made me want him and more.
I felt him under my hands and he was moaning with pleasure in his voice. I pulled away again and he took off his shirt. I ran my fingers over his bare skin and I went back to his lips curving into a smile. I kissed him.
When I stopped, he only looked at me with an unquenched desire gleaming in his eyes. He moved slowly tracing up my spine with his fingers. It tingled with stimulated sensations bursting on my skin and I felt him take over, but he only gazed at me with the passion in his eyes. He caressed my cheeks and I wanted to reach out to him the way he always did, but I felt I shouldn't. "I love you, Elezana," I heard his voice and mine wouldn't say a word. I smiled back at him with my heart swelling just to be with him like this. "When I'm around you, it's like you take down my defenses and make me vulnerable." I knew I was blushing because he was grinning at me. "It's beautiful when you smile when I least expect you to and you're fiery for someone who has been in Acrin most of her life. I guess that's what made you special to me, you make me want to lose control and forget the consequences," He was leaning into my lips and I felt his eyes gazing lovingly into mine. "It's because of you, I want this with you,"
I couldn't hold back as the red mist around him glimmered beckoning me to just kiss him and I pulled him to me letting our lips collide. I felt like I didn't want to breathe anymore and he was stronger than me, but I like that he was always gentle with me.
I love him too.
When we stopped, the red was still glowing around him and I loved the way he looked at me. Such a beautiful red. His red aura was our passion and love for one another. I will sacrifice anything to see him and stay at his side.
This chapter was to hint at her mother, but I promise it will all be clear in the next chapter. Elezana has a unique ability, but what was she really noticing with the glimmering red mist? It indeed has to do with soulmates and true love, but at its core it is much more. The next chapter will be in Ares' POV because it helps benefit Elezana's story and because I like his character. There will be occasional chapters from his view, but most will focus on Elezana. Until next Chapter, enjoy the ride. Feel free to comment, suggest or vote. I am open to criticism. Thank you.
