Clove's Dad POV:

Fucking Jax. That trap would have worked. I need to kill her. I've gotten so many comments saying I'm not being fair due to the fact that both tributes are alive from Two.

"Mr. Sevina, the tributes from two just got another kill. There's five left." Someone announces.

"Okay. I have a plan." I smirk.

Clove POV:

I wake up with Cato's arms wrapped around me. This will never get old.

"Good morning." He smiles in his morning voice.

"Morning." I smile back. I grab the remote to the TV and turn on the Games.

I see Lyla and Jax walking in the forest, weapons on hand. They're looking for new kills. Of course Lyla is leading. She must have always watched Jax and I train because she's good. Although her knowledge isn't the best. I mean, she almost fell for the fire trap.

The fire trap. My dad. He was trying to kill her. Is this his revenge on me? Maybe he's trying to get me scared of him? I'm not scared of him, only what he could potentially do. It's not fair for my best friends to have to go into the games. Just not fair.

"I know you want to watch the games, but we have school in an hour." Cato tells me.

"Ugggggh." I groan. I'm not in the mood to be stared at.

I get ready quickly. Cato awkwardly helps me change, then changing himself. I can't help but to peek at his six pack. We meet eyes, and sees I was staring. I smirk and wheel myself to the bathroom where I do my makeup while Cato fluffs up his hair. When we are both ready, we head out the door.

Right after arriving at school, Katniss runs up to me with a coffee in hand.

"Here you go." She smiles and hands me the drink.

"Oh jeez thanks." I thank her. That was really thoughtful.

"No coffee for me?" Cato fake pouts.

"Nope. You don't deserve it." She smirks.

Cato doesn't say anything. His face just goes white, then red. He clenches his jaw and looks uneasy.

Katniss must notice his expression.

"Um, I gotta' get to class." She says walking away awkwardly.

After she's gone I ask Cato, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing." He dismisses my question.

Whatever. I'll figure it out I guess.

Another day of catching up on homework goes by and I'm back at home laying on my bed watching the Games. Nothing has happened all day. I'm just scared of what is going to come.

"Clove? Do you need anything?" My mom calls from outside my door.

"No thanks though."

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah."

My mom walks in and sits on my bed with me.

"How are you holding up with all of this?" She asks, nudging to the TV.

"It's hard, I don't know." I shrug, my eyes not leaving the screen.

"Look, please don't blame your father for this. It's his job. I'm sure he doesn't want anything to happen to your friends as much as you."

There she goes again, making excuses for him. How can she not see it? He's practically evil!

"Okay." I decide to just agree, it'll upset her too much.
