I pulled my red gown down and called down to mom that I had finished getting ready.

"Okay! Honey, I need you to run a small errand for me! Will you be able to do that?" She called back to me.

"Alright! Gimme five minutes!"

After making sure that my once unruly hair were tamed, I slipped on a pair of black heels in order to add some extra height because according to Mike, I'm too short for my age. And I do not take such compliments well. Please note the sarcasm.

Wearing heels was easy but going down the stairs without tripping was a big task if you ask me. And I'm quite surprised I did it. Well if you don't count me wobbling while supporting my whole weight on the railing or sitting on the stairs and taking one step at a time. Insert an over exaggerated sheepish smile.

When mom caught me removing my heels and walking down the stairs, she simply shook her head and smiled at me. "Honey, why did you bother wearing them when you simply cannot walk in them? Not that I'm complaining."

I scrunched up my nose. "Mike thinks I'm short. I want to prove to him that I'm not short just a little lacking in the height department."

She laughed at me. "Anyway, I wanted you to give these contract papers to Paul. Looks like he's sending some other person to take care of the boys today and probably won't show up at the party since he has some work."

"Aw shi- shoot." I quickly corrected myself before my mom could give me a glare. "I was really looking forward to congratulating him for yesterday."

"For showing the manager his place?" She questioned.

"Yes, for showing the idiotic ass who is boss." I grinned at my mom.

She rolled her eyes. "You will never cease swearing, will you?"

"What! No, mom! I make up my own words instead of using swear words." I protested. She simply shook her head and gave me the file.

"Get this taken to the boys' house. It's quite necessary. The boys leave next week so Paul wants to wrap everything up."

I nearly choked on air when I realized what my mom had said. The boys were leaving? Why wouldn't they tell me earlier? Why are they leaving? I nearly scoffed at my own question. Of course, they had to leave. They're big time celebrities. And they've to work. I'm surprised they even spent a whole month here.

I took the file from my mom and left the house, hurriedly closing the door shut behind me. I didn't want her to see that I was genuinely upset over the news of the boys leaving.

I couldn't process anything as I made my way towards the car. I wasn't sure what to think, really. Just a month ago, I couldn't give a shit about what they did but one month is enough to change things between people. And I was not too happy about the boys leaving. Lost in my own thinking, I didn't realize that I had reached their flat. I closed the car door behind me and locked it. After knocking the door twice, it opened to a very disorientated looking Niall. His eyes widened but he quickly grinned and pulled me into a hug; his scent engulfing me.

And boy, he smelled damn fine.

Resisting the urge to sniff him again, I looked up to meet his eyes. "Hey, Ni."

"Hi, Chelle. We were just getting ready as you can probably see from my state." He chuckled and invited me in.

"Who's it, Niall?" Liam called out from somewhere within the house. He turned around and shouted back that it was me.

A good thirty seconds and lots of noise later, Liam stepped out of his room; his suit looking professional and perfect on him.

"Chelle, what a nice surprise! I thought we were meeting at the function."
