"No way!" I placed down the book I was holding as I shifted my phone from one ear to the other.
"Yes way! Michael got a girlfriend." Phoebe confirmed. But I was still having a hard time believing it. The Mike I knew? He was like a confused, stuttering mess in front of Katie and now I hear that he's asked her out and she said yes.
"Wow, that's unbelievable. I was beginning to think he was gay."
"He could be bisexual."
"You ladies do realize that I'm right here and that we're conferencing? I mean, this started out as a discussion on Michelle's problem and it suddenly escalated to mine and Kat's relationship. Talk about getting distracted."
I laughed and replied, "You're blushing, Mikey. I can totally see you doing that!"
"Oh shut up, you. You're one to talk. I'm sure you are mistaken for a tomato whenever Harry or Zayn look at you."
"That sentence sucked, Mike." I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see it.
"You suck, Mi."
I gasped at his childishness and mustered up a quick retort when the door to my room flew open and Liam entered inside, looking quite breathless.
"Liam? What the hell are you doing here?"
"Well, to put it into words, Harry got kidnapped. He left his phone and wallet behind and went out for a walk. And two hours later, somebody called up to inform that they had Harry with them and would only give him back if we went there with money. And now, Paul's out of town and most of the bodyguards are off duty and we need your help!"
I stared at the boy in front of me for a good while when he suddenly snapped his fingers in front of me.
"Michelle, I really love your zone-outs but I really need help. You freezing up on me is not something I need right now." He begged. I cleared my throat and jumped into action, quickly hanging up on my friends -obviously they had heard everything and knew why I did what I did- and raced to my closet to grab a jacket and my boots.

Taking the highway seemed like a easy way to get to St. Michael Colony but what I didn't anticipate was the traffic. There had been a huge accident due to the rush hour traffic and everybody was stuck in the same position for what seemed to be about 19 minutes since we left home. I let out a frustrated groan and restrained from slamming into the vehicle in front of me. Why is it that everytime I am with one of the boys, I find myself in a huge traffic jam? Feeling immensely annoyed at the unmoving traffic, I grabbed all of my essential things from my car and opened the door.
"What are you doing?" Liam seemed quite surprised at what I was doing.
"I don't have any other choice. This will take time to clear up and we have to get to Harry fast."
"Well that's all fine and good but who's gonna move the vehicle out of here? And we're on a highway for Christ's sake, Michelle!"
Well, that shut me up. I closed the door and slumped in my seat.
"F*ck my life," I placed my hands on my forehead and dragged them down, letting out a sigh after.
"We'll take the next exit, don't worry. The traffic seems to be moving right now, yeah?" Liam reassured, placing a hand on my knee.
"Alright," I suddenly sat up straight when I realized something crucial, "Wait, where are the others? Zayn, Niall and Louis; where are they?"
Liam took out his phone and showed me a text message.
