Climbing the stairs to Iris' apartment Barry was about to go apologize. He wasn't in the wrong, but he still felt bad.
The thing is Barry caught Iris on a date with another guy. Sure they hadn't kissed, well that Barry had known of, but it definitely was a date.

Barry made it to her apartment and opened the door, "Iris? Look I'm sorry I overre-" He stopped mid-sentence when he saw her in a full on the couch with the guy that had caused the first fight, his arms were around her.

"Barry! Uh this is nothing, I uh was just feeling upset and he was comforting me," Iris said looking into Barry's eyes.

He could tell she was lying, "I'm yours, no one else's," she added.

"Bye Iris," Barry said walking out of the door. He sped off back to his apartment.

He flopped on the couch and pulled out his phone. Tapping on his friend, Kara's contact and pressed the call button.

He heard a soft "Hey, Bear" from he other end of the line.

"Well that flopped," he sighed exasperated, quite like he did onto the couch a few seconds ago.

"What happened?" Kara asked.

Barry breathed in before answering, "The guy that I caught her with was at her apartment when I got there. And they were being all cuddly on the couch."

"Oh my Rao, I'm sorry Barry," She said.

He looked at his hand that wasn't holding the phone up to his ear, "Am I just, not enough?"

"No that's not it, Barry. Because I know if we were ever in a relationship you'd be more than enough. I think that she's conflicted, like maybe she has to choose between you and this other guy," Kara explained.

"Yeah, but I want a girl that doesn't have to choose, Kara, I want a girl that would just choose me. I mean I know it sounds selfish but it's not love if they have to choose," Barry said and leaned back on the couch.

He heard Kara breathe out on the other end, "Yeah, I understand."

"You okay? You seem... off."

"Yeah I'm fine, just feel bad for you. You've been in love with Iris for however many years, and when you finally get her, she keeps cheating, repeating days," She explained.

Barry smiled sadly, even though she couldn't see him, "Don't feel bad for me, Kara. There's nothing to feel bad for, it's just life."

"I know. All the same things just keep happening, Barry. I just want you to finally be happy," Kara said.

"I am happy though. I'm happy you're in my life. And I'm happy to be the Flash. It's just this one thing in particular I'm unhappy about, actually I'm not even unhappy... just disappointed it isn't working out," He explained quickly.

"Yeah I get that," She stated.

"How'd you get over, Y'know... him?" Barry asked.

He could hear her inhale deeply, "You."

"Me? How?"

"You're my best friend, Bear... best friends always help whether they know it or not," She answered.

"Well then good thing I'm gonna try to keep you in my life for as long as I can then becaus-" he was interrupted by a know at the door. "Hey, can I call you back?"

"Yeah, of course," Kara said.

"Okay, Later," he said and hung up.

Barry groaned feeling terrible that he hung up on his friend, but eventually he obliged and rolled off the couch. He slowly got up hoping that they would go away so he could call Kara back. But he was disappointed when he heard them knock again.
